90's Japanese sports cars are definitely getting popular again in the UK. Prices have increased for most makes over the past couple of years and R34 GTRs in particular have pretty much doubled in value
I'm more of a Nissan & General Motors myself, having General Motors Holden bolting the Nissan RB30 engine into the VL Commodore for 2 years in the late 1980's only to replace it with the horrid Buick LM3 engine which leaked oil & water,it was also rough despite being very torquey & economical. Toyota Australia did bolt a Holden motor into the XT130 Corona (1980 - 1983),it was what Toyota called the 1X engine, it was the 1.9 litre Starfire 4 cylinder engine which was a cut down 173 (2.85 litre) Holden straight six cylinder engine. The 5 door Coronas were still fitted with the 2 litre ( 18R) engine being upmarket. I have to find out why certain people were only getting that I'm for a smaller car when I'm 6'7" tall so I'm not a short person. The Australian built cars such as the Holden Commodore are built for taller people, I just hope they keep building them in Australia & not to intend importing thar sort of Holden in twin turbo form from Germany because that sort of Opel one isn't my kind !!!!
