We called our everyday for two weeks, but they told us the day they expected them and it was pretty cost. We are between two Costcos and one was about 4-5 sooner than the other for some reason - Thank you for your comment!

Interesting twist to see you go from vintage machine to Arcade1up. Usually folks migrate the other way, but your reasons make sense. Enjoy and have fun!

Nope, been there done that of over 15 years. Now that my older and my back is terrible I have no regrets. I mostly repairs and restores the full size arcade and pinball machine. But I just have keep moving 300-400lb machines around anymore, I have carts, hand trucks, etc that I used to move them around in my younger days. Now, moving around a 100lb Arcade1up makes me alot happiers. Thank you for your comment!

Yes, it was an amazing gameroom before, I showed some photos, but I was always buying, restoring and selling arcade/pinball machines, But now I'm old Arcade 1Up are so much easy to deal with, move, etc. I didn't have a Golden Tee or Midway cabinet, so this was perfect for us. We need some wall art soon though, I'm thinking about a video on that topic soon., Thank you for your comment!

i just bought one at costco the other day and i just got done assembling it and when i went to put the knobs on the joy sticks i noticed that the left joystick threaded part is smaller in diameter than the right joystick and both of the knobs are to big to thread on to the left joystick but both thread onto the right joystick no problem. are the joystick threads the same diameter on your machine?

What the heck? I had the SAME EXACT issue and forgot about it until your comment. I think the Left on is off a bit, I got it on finally, I used Pliers and wrapped the metal stick with a cloth to not scratch it and then thread the top on. Thank you for your comment!

Damn you are good at Sinistar especially with an 8 way stick. Cool machine! I was hoping Arcade1up would rerelease the defender Partycade but doesn’t look like it will happen.

I stand corrected on Wizard of Wor. "The Arena" is only stage 4. The Worlord Dungeon on stage 8 is where the mazes get really hard with lots of open spaces and hardly anywhere to hide. Just played my Midway Legacy cabinet. Never made it to "The Pit". (Just an open playfield)

You make a great point, as there are plenty of haters for this, but if we keep support Arcade 1Up, hopefully they will make more XL, A Star Wars XL would be a big hit. I don't know if Costco can see that or not. I don't think we got any NEW titles in 2024 did we? Thank you for the comment!

Is Defender playable with that control panel layout?
@StevesRetroGaming
@StevesRetroGaming 4 ай бұрын
OMG - Defender control lay out is RIDICULOUS!! I could make a video just on that. I did show Defender gameplay in the Extended cut video. OK, I have never been good at Defender since I first played it in 1981. OK back to the lay out. If used BOTH joysticks and bottoms on both sides of the joystick. I'm going to go take a photo and post it on the community tab here in a few minute. Thank you for the comment.

@@StevesRetroGaming It's a shame it didn't have 6 buttons because this would be a nice mod cabinet. Just rip out player 2 stick and put in a spinner. But I know A1Up does that purposefully.

@@greyshadow9498 Well I just you could get out the drill? I just added a few buttons to a Space Invaders cabinet, but that was to put in a 60 in 1 kit in it. How about the Arcade 1Up Big Blue cabinet, it has 6 buttons on each side already?

@@StevesRetroGaming I was actually looking at Big Blue. What it boils down to, at least for me, is ease of conversion. Stick, six buttons, trackball and spinner. I have seen some custom decks, which might be the way to go. Unfortunately, apartment life has made me lazy, and not very "handy" where doing my own custom work is concerned.

If you're OK with flipper Lag on the 4k then go ahead with it but I don't think it can be fixed. Maybe hook a PC up to it... You could always make your own or gut a Arcade1up like CoolToy did

@@StevesRetroGaming The problem remains that you need to leverage the potato SBC for input encoding and the interface to the displays/audio... which was a purposeful design choice by Atgames to force you through their ecosystem in some way even when you are using an external PC. If they'd gone with a stand alone USB encoder board along with direct connectivity to the audio/haptics and displays this would be a far more interesting cabinet for modding... the way it's designed simply locks you into using the garbage hardware that is at the center of an otherwise interesting vPinball table. If they'd left the design open to simpler modification and community support they could have a runaway hit, but their closed ecosystem and arrogance more or less killed the potential this product has. For a 32" cab simply gutting an A1Up model that had it's PCB die is probably a better solution since you're basically just keeping the table w/ legs, backbox with the DMD + speakers.
