Hey Everyone! This trick has been around a long time. I don't know the exact name of it but it's a fun trick to do and so easy! Let me know what you think :)

I’m asking again lol, I thought I understood…. What happens if they pick a card other than 3 and place it back in the deck? I’d understand having them cut, and with a false cut make them think they cut to a 3, but when you’re fanning out the cards and telling them to choose and place back, that could be any card. An I missing something lol?

Hey Steve, I know a similar trick called cards across . This trick could also be called cards across. Let me know if you want to know the other routine. Thanks, Glen

I'm almost 99% certain this is Paul Harris' Las Vegas Leaper. Paul has been a consultant (I believe) for Blaine and of course, his material has been everywhere for a very long time. Brilliant and really nice guy.

@mydavegabicycle - that makes sense. Plus, that is a great name. 👍 Thanks for your info, i appreciate it. If we want to make our own name, we can call it LEAP ACROSS, or CARD LEAP, and / or CARDS LEAP ACROSS. 🤔 LOL. Have a blessed week.

@@glenpolen5562 if I remember correctly, the title comes from making a plot that justifies the odd count. Saying this is how they count cards in Vegas or something to that effect. I'm not a huge fan of the count myself but it's worth mentioning!

A nice simple alternative to a classic cards across. Been doing the palmed version for years and it blows minds. Ps Ive never been called out on a cross cut force just works period with a bit of chat misdirection. Great content as always mate 👌

Great trick! But I’m a little confused about the chosen card. What if the spectator chose a Jack? Will there be 11 more cards added to the pile?
@samwright7388 ай бұрын
Paul Harris Las Vegas leaper uses this method for the first half in add palm cards for the second have. David Blaine performs this on Jimmy Kimbel. I first saw Paul Harris do the effect on the Stars of Magic Magic Video series. He latter published a version in the Art of Astonishment with a vanish bill appearing in the spectactor's pocket also taught in the Art of Astonishment DVD set. Very powerful effect It plays well close and stand up. I've used it over 30 years myself and it always gets a great reaction. Very nice tutorial of a masterpiece of magic

Anybody can do a card trick. But a professional will have the audience in the palm of his hand. By involving and engaging your audience, you don't don a card trick, you do MAGIC !! Steve is a professional and the lesson here is how to engage your audience and blow their minds with a simple trick. Learn from a pro and see the bigger picture. Great job, Steve.

Could you please explain the trick of changing the card more than once?
@brianmendenhall83872 ай бұрын
Just do an under the spread cull force. Super easy and they can touch any card that goes by in the spread. Or just do a dribble forrce....just as convincing ....

Fun! I'll give this a shot. Do you have any videos on the pinky brake shuffle? Or is it theoretically simple enough to watch the video a few times and figure out? (Obviously new at this but I know a few tricks and would like to practice this one : D

Pinky break is basic magician stuff. Plenty of videos out there

Uh, if you wind up with the 3 three's (or anything else you don't like) during the explanation part after they hand the shuffled cards back to you it's a simple matter of putting the other 10 cards back on the 42 cards and saying something to the order of "okay now that you know what we are doing go ahead and shuffle one more time" then just start the trick over.
@sorenmikkelsen78802 ай бұрын
The initial trick the spectator selected a card from the deck and was put back to the middle. But in the solution the magician selected a card by putting a three on the top. The hard part is off course to force the spectator to pick a specific card and that was actually not really explained. Otherwise a very good trick.

Put the three on bottom get them to cut then put the rest of pack on top as a criss cross works as well
@shteviemac83106 ай бұрын
Just wondering why such emphasis on that 3 before the reveal. Why you were cutting to keep it at the top? Great trick brw

Rewatch the tutorial 😎
@Lintmusic8 ай бұрын
Yeah I don't understand that either - you explain how to force a 3 to the top in a few different ways, but when fanning the cards out and asking a spectator to pick one, how does that make them pick a 3?
@humanerror81878 ай бұрын
Why have a 3 on the top if u have them fanned out and the pick any card??
@justinwhite27258 ай бұрын
Definitely not covered. I thought you dealt one more from the top but rewatching you had them pick, but you don't show how to make them pick the 3, just how to put the 3 on the top.
@michaelgraymagic8 ай бұрын
If you wanted to force the card from a fan that’s called a classic force. For beginners not that easy. The criss cross force does work very well and is MUCH easier! However, I wouldn’t actually say “I’ll just mark where you cut” as shown in the explanation. I find it’s better to say nothing and use timed misdirection to go back to the deck. Otherwise excellent presentation and tutorial!
@MickeysGoldenyEARSАй бұрын
Great trick but I’m guessing this is no where near the EASIEST card trick for beginners! 😊
@lennon12526 ай бұрын
Better if you just add one or 2 cards. 3 is too much. I know if you put 13 cards in my hand I would know it was not 10. Also when you look through the deck for a 3, you don't have to cut it to the top. Just do a Pinky break where you see it and riffle force it that way. Why have to bring it to top?
@steventaputoro6 ай бұрын
Welcome to do it however you like. Whatever works for you ☺️
