When you said your uncle passed away young because of muscular dystrophy that hit me. My brother and I both have Becker's MD and one of my cousins has Duchenne MD, I relate to this so much. Although I'm not going to let it stop me from being a musician. Thanks for sharing that story, Steve. I’ve been handed many old guitars they want restored to playing order, while keeping the looks the same. Not difficult, but worth it to keep these old memories alive.

I play guitar and bass. When I play bass I go both ways....certain things I play are just kinda Impossible for me to play finger style(like certain Slipknot songs etc). But the whole finger style is what I loved so much about the bass when I first picked one up and I found it slightly addictive. Sometimes it just doesn't feel right to dare use a pick lol
