There’s too much evil in the world for a good God not to exist to overcome that evil. All I know is that Jesus is the One who called me out of the darkness and has given me peace even when that evil is still out there. Just to be completely transparent, if I didn’t have the love of Jesus in my heart, I’d be dead by my own hand. Maybe I shouldn’t have publicly said that but it’s true. Jesus called me into his family on 4/19/03 and that’s something I’ll never forget.

Another great video! Something I would imagine many folks don’t know how to answer. For me, the Holy Spirit didn’t give me a choice. One He revealed God’s sovereignty to me I could do nothing but repent and believe. One I was shown my sin and my need for a savior I had no choice whatsoever!

Do you remember what “did it”. (did the HS use a person, book, pastor, etc?)

@@ClaimingChristianity I have read the Bible for years. I came up in the Church of Christ. I remember reading scriptures about the elect and predestination and always struggling with them. My brother and I would have discussions about them and I could never really give him an answer. Then at one point about 2 years ago now. It all just “clicked”. I was ready to submit to God’s sovereignty. It wasn’t about me anymore. It was about Jesus. I was talking to my oldest son about this. I was all excited. And he said “Dad, you sound reformed.” I was like, “What is that?” He pointed me in the direction of several pastors to listen to, R.C. Sproul, John MacArthur, Paul Washer, Voddie Baucham, Alistair Begg. I would hear them teach and it just all made sense. Then I started reading Spurgeon, J.I. Packer, Calvin, Luther, and many of The Puritans. Henry, Whitefield, Owen. It all just made sense. I truly believe that God got me to a point that I surrendered and He opened the floodgates! I can look back now and KNOW it was ALL HIM! PRAISE JESUS!

It's not a hard question to answer for me, but to use this as sounding board for non-believers is a great idea! On the other hand, sharing my answer my need some refinement. I have added it to my Notes in logos software and will have a place their to build my foundation. Thanks for the video and question.

I know I’m a Christian because I grew up going to church and I got saved when I was 7 and I wanted to study the Bible and be a pastor ever since. I believe God created the universe and it is logical that he made it cause love always comes from love and a creator makes more sense then 2 rocks smashing together and they created everything like grass, gravity and etc. I also believe the Bible is reliable and it was written by first hand witness of Christ.

A hard question ⁉️

Why am I a Christian? Because as a child my BFF was God. One night when I was around eleven I was watching a Christian Program which explained that we are all sinners and that we needed forgiveness from God to become a Christian so I knelt at the Christmas Tree THAT had the Star ⭐ of Bethlehem at the top and prayed for His forgiveness. When I stood up I felt like I was walking several feet off the floor... I was soooo light! That night my BFF became my LORD..
