Hi Steve, For the heck of it I ordered the Doors Box set here in Los Angeles, California at 6:00AM on Friday yesterday and received just now today Saturday at 10.00AM. The others packaging box says Doors on all sides. Almost like it's from the Doors manufacturing company. Cheers

Happy Birthday 🍻 The RL LZII will always remain king though! The late 70's Piros cut is also excellent. Maybe try smearing a little Tergitol on that marker.. It'll break it down and hopefully it'll wipe off, or at least minimize it some.

Hey Steve, you should check out Jason Roxas video depicting a shootout between the Doors 1st lp OG vs the rhino hi fidelity version. It sounds as if the rhino is muddy compared to the OG! I’m sure you also have seen Maslov’s take on it as well! Would love to hear your verdict as soon as you get your hands on the rhino box!

The very best sounding RUSH 2112 and A Farewell to Kings are either the Canadian or US pressings with JAMF in the deadwax. Not just by Gilbert Kong without the JAMF.

I recently just bought a lovely, clean MFSL pressing of Led Zeppelin II from a nice member on the SHF for about $150 (on Discogs in really good shape it was going for at least $250) and you know, it sounds bloody amazing! On my system it F'n *THUNDERS* mate! As far as I'm concerned, that is the one I'm going to play. Seriously... I don't care about the naysayers, it is honestly one of the best sounding MFSL pressings I have, powerful low end. Definitely $150 well spent! (which I only do very, *VERY* rarely...)

I'm totally on board with you about the Speakers Corner comments. They are the most consistently great sounding LPs I own (2K+). I don't know what their "special sauce" is, but the reissues they put out are almost always second to none.

​@@stevewestman7774there's an exception to that streak, their version of Antonio Carlos Jobim's "Stone Flower" is a mess. The drums in particular sound terrible compared to the CTI original pressings or even more recent CD versions. Not sure why this turned out this way

So that brings up a good point we are in the Golden Ear of record collecting because in 10 years after all the classic records are remixed what will be left to do ? There are not many new bands at least in the Rock genre out there I’m 60 so I know it’s probably an age issue

@ Wow must have secured one of the last ones. Was tempted to purchase a second for investment but I’m not a fan of that behaviour as it reduces the opportunity of fans like myself getting the box set at the original retail price.

I bought the Classic Records Led Zeppelin I (180 gram), II (180 gram), III (180 gram), IV (180 gram), Houses of the Holy (180 gram), Physical Graffitti (180 gram) for around $28 each when they came out. I also have sealed copies of Led Zeppelin I & II (200 gram).
