I saw this movie and I'm glad the boys took the humanitarian angle on it. There were so many angles for comedy in the movie to make fun of it. I'm proud of their take on it.

This movie scared the living daylights out of me. Just the sheer intelligence of these animals, how they learn, adapt, hold grudges and even have variations in language. There's this one scene captured on a home camera of one of these poor trainers who's almost drowned by the whale who drags him under the water twice! This brave bastard keeps his cool and when the whale surfaces and lets him go, he desperately swims past the barrier floats with broken ankles and gets onto the platform and the whale is following him, like hes a seal, until he gets on his feet and is helped onto the path!!!! Its pure horror. Nature is pure horror.

Its crazy because in the wild there isnt a single case of an Orca being aggressive with people, On the contrary, there have been many instances where Orcas have saved people from shark attacks and brought them to shallow water. They are incredibly friendly to people in the wild. Goes to show how horrible it is to put them in tanks like they're goldfish. This shit should be outlawed, its nothing less than animal cruelty. They steal baby Orcas from the wild and profit from it. I hope Seaworld goes fucking bankrupt and all the executives get ass cancer and die a slow, painful fucking death.

I mean, I'd argue that humans have done far worse things than almost any animal. The factory where your phone was made was so horrible the employers had to establish suicide nets spot wouldn't have to keep hiring new employees. By owning these phones we are condemning them and their future generations to the same kind of work. The slaughterhouses we get our meat from are pretty goddamn horrible as well. Not really sure how to describe and keep appropriate. The society which you find safety and security in was built on generations of genocide and slavery an rape, from every group done unto every other group. So really an Orka trying to kill the guy who it sees as having enslaved it is pretty reasonable compared to our own behavior.

I remember going to Seaworld at the age of 13/14, and even at that age I could see through the bullshit. It took me about an hour but when I was sat watching that 'Shimu' or whatever her name is, doing all the cute things like nodding and shaking her head to the trainer's questions, and everyone was laughing........I remember thinking "....what the _fuck_ must they have done to that whale to get it to do that? Because the fucking thing isn't _really_ answering the trainer's questions." Then looking around at everyone just laughing like it was cute, I just realized how fucking creepy and sinister the whole park was.
