I miss Christine as far as I'm concerned they were both so beautiful and a couple of the greatest of all time, I would have believed she would have been around for another 10 or 15 years this is all some of the greatest all-around music that ever existed of all time. Whether you were a heavy rocker or light rocker everybody loves their music . It will forever be timeless. I feel so fortunate to grow up during the lifetime I did. I remember one time at Christmas I was going to go home back to Michigan and I was looking at property in Pennsylvania staying at a friend's and I got sick with the flu and she kind of took care of me all weekend and we were playing landside instead of jingle bells or any of that and I was like can we just play Landslide all weekend and we did and it was just an awesome Christmas

KZbin must make an option to "like" all the comments at once because I appreciate every one of you true fans but my hands are too old to scroll through so many comments. Thank you for being respectful. She's a wise elder, with knowledge earned the hard way. She gave so many women strength and guidance through their lives and loves for decades. We still sing her songs. I will never know the number of times I've listened to Sara but it has laid down a permanent neural pathway in my brain and I am grateful.

@@missmayflower Sure, I get that. I think it's the kindness of sharing cautionary tales of what happens when you abuse drugs and damage yourself. She could have kept that info private but she didn't and maybe it helped some young singers to avoid the same damage. Embarrassing, yes. Humiliating, maybe, sure. But she did it. I can respect that.

I learned recently that the phrase "edge of seventeen" came about as a result of Stevie mishearing Tom Petty's wife telling her in her deep southern accent that the couple had met at the "age of seventeen".
@Malcolm-Achtman4 күн бұрын
Stevie seems to be fiddling with a knob while singing (possibly vocal enhancement or echo) but she still sounds great and so does the band. I liked the intro because the lead guitar guy interjected more variety into the otherwise repetitive opening riff.

It's pretty remarkable that at the age of 76 she still looks good and sounds good however when she turned her back I assure you it was done because someone else was singing and it was her way of hiding it but it drew more attention to it verses being discreet. I think she would have bested it had she stayed forward and lip synced the part verses making it obvious. I love Stevie Nicks so its not a slam however I just think she could have done that better without drawing attention to it like she did. That my only gripe because she still sounds damn good for the most part.
@virginiawilliams72825 күн бұрын
If you had paid attention, her backup singers were also looking at her. Stevie lip synch or allow someone else to do her singing? No. I don't think so. I haven't seen that with any shows I've been at. But hey, you're allowed your opinion.
@violetcrush195 күн бұрын
@@virginiawilliams7282 So if I'm entitled to my own opinion what exactly was your point in addressing a part within my comment that apparently you didn't agree with? It wasn't insulting it was merely acknowledging the fact that some notes she may not be able to do any longer at 76 years old. It would be understandable. If you were familiar with singers it does happen at older ages that ones voice changes and your vocal cords don't have the elasticity they once had lending a lesser flexibility to once voice. Thus causing you to not be able to sing higher notes. So yes, it is possible she required help from her singers. It's more agreeable to have live help verses using backing tracks like others do and have done. It's also possible that when her backup singers were looking at her (in which I did see that. I'm not blind) that it could have been a way to draw attention to them at that moment. There are so many tricks of the trade used and she may not agree with using programs that alter one's voice to perfection like pitch correct and autotune like other singers and bands have and do. Now, had I said something in a nasty way which I did not I could understand the reason for your two cents to attack me but obviously I didn't say anything out of context and ridiculed her in a mean fashion. It was of good intention and the fact remains that I also stated she looked good and sounded good at 76 years old. And don't forget the fact I also stated I loved her. See making comments is an assumption that another individual is a lesser and assumption is just that only sometimes the one that assumes makes an ass out of oneself (you). You also have no clue as to who your addressing or what one's occupation is when your trying to be a backward hero. You just want to make your opinion to try to make someone else look bad....Now I'll give you a hint.... I do work with singers in various preformance levels begginers to pros and there are a plethora of techniques used with aging singers to stay true to their craft without using helping programs. Some jump on board and others prefer authenticity. In which I do believe Stevie is one who stays true to her craft but requires assistance at times and that isn't a bad thing it's just a part of life we can't stop the hands of time. I do hope you learned something today that trying to be quick witted only came back on you. Choose commenting more wisely because you don't know who your commenting to. Have a wonderful day or night wherever you are.
