Stevie, I wish I heard you 2 years ago. I am a 71 year old female living in Florida and have been so disillusioned by what is going on in my state as well as the country. I can't tell you the exact moment, but I can tell you that I put on my " big girl panties" and decided to do something about it. I voted for the first time in my life. I have never considered not voting in my 65-year life (except one time while I was out of the country traveling for 2 months, plus then the only option for me to vote was to go to an American consulate/embassy). When I encounter people who do not vote, the two main excuses I hear are "my vote doesn't matter" and "I don't know enough about the choices". It is always your duty to YOURSELF to learn what you can to the best of your ability and voice your opinion through voting. When we don't vote, we don't have a government that represents us, or really a country at all. If you don't vote, why are you here??
