Stevie truly is a beautiful soul..very honest and true to her heart...I read an article about Stevie and it was done by someone who was close to her..they said the coolest thing about her and it was " exactly how you think of Stevie is exactly how she is" I thought that was a very cool thing to say because I know as a fan and others who are fans have this magical view of her we think the world of her and when her friend said that I was like awesome because I think so many wonderful things about her and I know I wouldn't be disappointed..I'll always love Stevie nicks a fan for life.

I remember Stevie saying she wrote "Gypsy" as a tribute to the memory of her best friend Robin Anderson, who died of leukemia. I first saw her perform this live in 1982 during the Fleetwood Mac "Mirage" Tour. This video is just fabulous. Thank you for posting. In the real world this isn't even a slur to this day. I've always been a self proclaimed gypsy, I'm almost 50. @@redletter2008 You make a good point. And with some singers their voices fade as they get older. Not their fault, thats life. but some to me improve or change often for the better. Rod Stewart is a classic example. That raspy voice has got softer but he's smart and adjusted to it. Elton John was brilliant but over the past few years he struggles to get the older songs right when live. So he adjusts the pitch of the song to suit. Even MAcca 's voice has lost a lot in recent years but come on, its still Paul McCartney... But Stevie's voice has got deeper and raspier and I like that. In fact I like all of her career.

I love the 70s and early 80s of female singers where they were talented and unique. Stevie Nicks, Cher, Tina Turner, Donna Summer, Helen Reddy, Streisand, Olivia Newton John, Linda Ronstadt, Cyndi Lauper, Annie Lennox, etc. Now it's mostly generic no talents that are there only because they look like Barbie dolls.
