It's going to be hilarious. I think this is one of Stevie's silliest, but imagining how it will sound with Dolly on it makes me smile. My two favorite performers. ☺️

This is a personal favorite! It’s very “rock and roll” obviously. Reminds me of “addicted to love” by Robert Palmer. Similar sound and style. This is presumed to be a Tango In The Night outtake and wsd recorded in 1986 while Stevie was on her Rock a Little tour.
@SamuelOrru2 жыл бұрын
This is actually either a studio left over from Rock A Little or a demo recorded on the Rock A Little Tour in 1986 like "Whole Lotta Trouble", the Fleetwood Mac version hasn't leaked. I'm going with ladder since "Whole Lotta Trouble" was also recorded for Tango In the Night, so Stevie probably gave Fleetwood Mac this demo along with the "Whole Lotta Trouble" one.

Knew of a person who saw Stevie after a show for Tango In The Night who asked what happened to this track. She asked if it wasn't the last track on the album. So, once sessions were done, someone switched the song choices. Running In The Garden was another for the Tango album.

Can Stevie release a “Rock a Little deluxe edition” album already with this on it?!😫
@cobius86986 жыл бұрын
They are talking about doing a deluxe edition, but they might not do it because sales on the deluxe versions of Bella Donna and Wild Heart were a bit unsatisfactory.

This tune was brought into the Tango in the Night record, but didn't make it onto that album. Ah, if only Stevie had offered Fireflies, her great tune hidden on a live FM album...

Why does everyone think this song and "Something Exquisite" are from the RAL sessions? The lyrics are clearly from a post Betty Ford perspective! Self made woman and man (Stevie & Joe), if you could do it all over again (would she), what has r&r ever done...everything (good & bad)! She acknowledges the crazy life and the ability to still rock & roll with her head on straight now! Unfortunately, Klonopin snuck in and sucked the life out of The Mirror and Behind the Mask tours! That was painful to watch! "Something Exquisite" is loaded with drug references! The whole train ride/running the race thing is addiction itself! Not being able to get off it, yet it isn't enough says volumes! I'll end with this, "If you haven't been thru it, you're just a spectator!"
@johnc78337 ай бұрын
because of her still-intact vibrato and the “WELLLLLs”, that’s all RAL-era singing. She lost that after Betty Ford.
@billoleshkojr64697 ай бұрын
@@johnc7833 Dude, I don't want to get into a pissing match, Buuuuuut, I will! If you listen to her vocals from the RAL sessions, she's ALL OVER THE PLACE! Listen to the different takes of "Mirror, Mirror"! The sax version of "Thousand Days! "WHRAREDFY, Something Exquisite, and Welcome to the Room...Sara all have a "clarity" rocking vocal! Complete with vibrato!

I don't understand why this song didn't make the "cut" and get included on Rock A Little. I love the guitar work and her more upbeat songs

And, why wasn't it put on The Other Side Of The Mirror, if it couldn't be on Rock A Little? This vocal and music are too good to have sat in "the vault" since 1984.

People criticizing a song for not have the most complex lyrics in the world is so odd. This song honestly is really good.
@MelBee1285 жыл бұрын
Not the best lyrics she's ever written. It just sounds like she's trying to fit in with the whole "party 80s" thing that was popular at the time. She really didn't need to because she could fit in anywhere with any genre.
