I love stevie nicks when I was a teenager there was three of us girls and on weekends we would got to my aunt's house to hang out and she would always put on stevie nicks CD and Crank It Up loud as it would go and we would dance 💃 🎶 around her house and help her clean every other Saturday those was the best times and we would always bake cookies or something sweet 🙂🥰

Tom Petty surely had a way to touch everyone in a simple but very deep way as he was never a person of STAR STATUS because he always held true to his entire upbringing which is humbling and of the middle class or less fortunate americana !! A Cancer she battled for five years. Yet in this time of fear, the powers that be made it so she passed alone. Because we were not family, I. could not be with her. Could not hold her hand. Stevie, I just found this video on New Years Eve 2020, I think I may have worked with your cousin at a restaurant back in the 90's as a teen. I haven't kept in touch with him since back then, but we hung out for a while, his initials were E.C., since then I saw my first Stevie show with Boz at Fiddler's. Then the Enchanted tour, the Say You Will tour at Pepsi, Saw Tom and Jackson at Red Rocks, then Tom and Pearl Jam 2 nights, more recently saw Pearl Jam and the Knobs up in Telluride, and Uncle Neil with Lucas, literally followed the Honeysuckle Rose out of town and back to Golden, as they diverted to Coachella, Saw you both both nights with Mike and Neil as well in Denver. Tom will be missed by all, long after we are all gone! So sad not having him around. I have been blessed to have been on this journey with you all over the years. Here is hoping for a better 2021!

There are no words to reply to this testament but of course I think I have something to say. When someone dies I freeze and no-one can physically go near me for days. That period ends and the hard part begins. Friendship between a man and a woman is still rare and not celebrated and because I think my Dad was my best friend I have, thankfully, valued that relationship and have been incredibly fortunate. I am not speaking as a fan but the essential distance between us means, respect boundaries. Thank you for your music, your honesty, your inspiration and mentorship of other artists == generosity, and that indefinable combination that you and Tom Petty share, of humility and bravery -- and humour -- that combined gives you both keys to the city of our best imagined world.

This absolutely killed me. I had my own best friend Tom too. He died of lung cancer. It was only 4 months between when he got sick & when he died. We used to road trip, listen to music & talk all night long & one night he put his old cowboy hat on my head. He had had that old hat since he was 16 & I felt like he had set a gold crown on my head. I still miss him every day. I crocheted him a blanket & I didn't have time to finish it before he died but it was big enough to cover him & long enough to cover his long, cowboy legs & he covered up in it & kept it on till his final day, then his sister took it cause it smelled like him. I was HONORED to be his friend!

Hope you’re having a good time touring. I read a book on Tom Petty and it was amazing. I missed it, but when I saw Fleetwood Mac in the 70’s at the small Portland Civic Center expecting to see the band of Bare Trees, Penguin, I saw an amazing show I’ll never forget. Stevie...After my dad's death, I would say Tom's passing hit me hardest. That seems like a really strange thing since I never met Tom. When it hit the news, the voice in the next cubicle said "Randy, don't look at the news!". Sure "It's only rock-n-roll" but Tom has been a constant in my life...practically ever day since I was a kid when he first became known. He never let me down. He never got political. I was never nervous about what he might say. I suppose it's trite but you were so fortunate to have him. Sorry for your loss...for all our loss.
