such a distinguished style. a unique thing in a world, where almost everything is imitable, but not his style.

ive been playing now for about 10 years and am just now starting to tap into the feeling that stevie had. very hard thing to accomplish. but all you have to do is LISTEN to what Stevie tells you, play with your heart!!! 1:57 to 2:33 gives me goosebumps:)

My god is everything. He doesn't discriminate, wrap your mind around that, mr. " smartass from behind a keyboard but come see me in person and i aint got a damned thing to say"

Damn, you guys know what I'd like to see on a vid? I'd like to see a shot with the camera looking down the neck of the strings......just to get an idea of the complexity of the way he plays. SRV....no words to describe this man. The love and passion this man had for music was unique. Damn, I can't wait till I die to meet him in person. Haha, cool, something to look forward to. RIP SRV

It's called being a showman. He is giving a performance. A performance that you will never get to see except on tape. Although you may think your question was funny. It's not. Perhaps you ask the same questions of James Brown?

@atty1chgo Sure that I'm the one doing that? I listen to every guitarist in the world as long as it sounds good to me and of course I've heard of them (Brooks etc.) & like it pretty much. Maybe SRV is one of my favorit. But I don't say anything about he's better or he's best there's a difference.

Beh.... why the stupid boat and overhead of the grounds when he is whailing away!!!! GRRRR!!!! SRV forever

@ShSwStudios Oh, I understand music. You are just in love with SRV. I know that they weren't about who's best. You are the one doing that. For that matter, there are a MORE than a few CURRENT superior blues guitarists on the scene today. Carlos Johnson is one, and Ronnie Baker Brooks is the other. Carlos Johnson is easily his equal.
@Dirty-Blue-Groove13 жыл бұрын
So to be fair I listened to Carlos Johnson...... to say he is Stevie's equal is the most short sighted statement I have ever hear anyone make! the guy fumbles notes everywhere..... no soul. for godsake what is wrong with people!!!!
@EyezaGotSKILLZ15 жыл бұрын
First off, mimicry is a skill. If mimcry wasn't a skill, then that would mean anybody could pick up a guitar, learn 'Hey Joe' note for note, nuances and all, and end up sounding like Jimi himself. I wouldn't say it's an admirable skill to have, but it is a skill. Secondly, I was just trying to point out that SRV was a technically masterful guitar player, although he was repetitive and he did heavily emulate Jimi. I find beauty in his guitar playing, but I'm biased, considering I'm from Texas!

@osufootball0913 жыл бұрын
@atty1chgo that is clear? clapton NEVER lays it down like him. He is too technical

@atty1chgo Another one who doesn't understand anything about music. About the music Clapton and Stevie did. They didn't (don't) play so people can talk about who's best.

So you agree that James Brown dressed like a gay Spanish waiter? The fact of the matter, you are trolling for flames with the same old bait. Why bother dissing SRV if not for the attention? SRV is an amazing guitarist. It's too bad that you don't get it, but that's ok.
@EyezaGotSKILLZ15 жыл бұрын
Okay, now you're not even trying to have a reasonable conversation. You're just trying to piss everybody off. Not gonna work on me bud. Goodbye.

@osufootball09 To each his own. Stevie, may he RIP, is considerably overrated.
