Ugur Akdag Not only that he's also doing the singing any body that sings and plays will tell you it takes a lot of practice to get the singing and the playing together its like the singing goes somewhere and the guitar playing goes another its hard to get the hang of it But Stievie is making it look real real easy Live when in fact its a lot harder than it looks That is why hes top 10 rolling stone magazine

The way Hendrix made All Along the Watchtower his own, Stevie did that to Voodoo Child.

@@samperez8650 I know I'm late, but I'm experiencing how hard it is juat by doing his version of Mary had a Little Lamb. It's easy to play, until you have to sing too

People credit his intensity to cocaine as well but don’t realize how much he improved after becoming sober. It’s crazy to me how he was already so absolutely fantastic yet got noticeably better after becoming sober

I love that hammer-on-and-pull-off, left-hand-only legato part of the solo that starts just after 2:37. Very evocative of Hendrix.

That guitar looks like it's about to explode and only SRV supernatural skill is keeping it in one piece. Thank-you for this.. RDS

Stevie Ray Vaughan is the G.O.A.T on that badass guitar !!! 🤘🔥🎸🇺🇸💯...

I love how Chris, the drummer and Tommy the bassist can't seem to take their eyes off of Stevie...like us they're mesmerized. I read a quote from Chris Layten once that said "I never got tired of watching Stevie"...and I never get tired of watching him either. I'm 53 and I think Stevie is right up there with Elvis. I'm stumped to think of others with the stage presence anywhere close to these two...who both were true masters.

2:37 my absolute favorite part, amazing tapping!

He could probably crush coal into diamonds with that left hand.

@Thomas_ - I doubt he never tapped, surely after seeing Van Halen come onto the scene he tried it out. But you're right, this is called legato. Similar though

2:07 holy smokes that bend! That would break my guitar neck in half!
@kuno_ichi4 жыл бұрын
especially considering at this point he was still playing on 13s, that bend is un-fucking-real.

The absolute greatest guitarist ever. There are others that were close EVH Dimebag may they all R.I.P but SRV is truly the greatest.

This guy was/is the greatest blues guitarist ever, even Hendrix himself would’ve admitted that

Stevie Ray Vaughan, we all miss you tremendously! Your musical talent lives on in our hearts. I still watch you play often. Everyday on my treadmill. 👍🙏❤️

So many years have passed....so much time. I still can't watch or listen without getting upset. When Stevie died, a piece of my soul left my body and it's never returned. I remember so clearly my little son coming in our bedroom saying he'd seen on TV that there'd been a helicopter crash and that Stevie was gone. I bawled my head off for about a week. It sucks when your heros are there one minute, and gone the next. My idea of heaven is getting to see and hear him once again. I hope he's waiting for me.

And the crowd didn't even realize that they were seeing Stevie Ray Vaughan as good as he ever was on any night at any venue. Especially that night on Texas Flood and this song!
