This is all I use to train with and I'm stronger than ever. Back when I used to do weight training, I never felt as much useful strength in everyday life as I do from the Isochain training.

I love how you are using isometrics to recover--that's so smart! The BEST modality!! I'd love one of these devices, thanks for the great video

Hi Stevie. I am new to your channel but I have been lifting weights and doing isometrics for a long time. I just saw you do the high isometric deadlifts. I recommend you try a slow steady pull to generate the power on your pull. When you are doing a pull, the first seconds should be a “ warm up” , then go all out and with a steady pull constantly increase your power until you reach six seconds. Then do not just stop, gradually decrease your pull for another six seconds to taper down. Similar to running. Warm up with a jog, work up to a sprint , taper back down to a jog and then walk. This is a much healthier approach for your central nervous system and cardiovascular system too. Also it’s extremely important when doing isometrics to take short deep breaths during your exercise. Never hold your breath because it can cause high blood pressure and it’s not natural to hold your breath and cut off oxygen for maximum exertions of isometric exercise. Also don’t talk will you are doing the isometric exercises. I realize you are making a video but doing let that take away from focusing on the proper techniques of doing isometrics safely. This information should have been given by Dragon Door with their isometric training book. I don’t have the book but if this information is not given , they need to inform their customers. Believe it or not. When Dragon Door came out with their first isometric equipment. They did not have a chain or spring. They used a back cable. I gave them the idea in my comment section on their ad. I showed a customer a photo of my isometric equipment. Mine consisted of two custom cut steel pipes, a chain with a carbine and a heavy duty spring. I am not the original creator of this design and there is no patent. Anyone can make this. The spring is better than pulling or pushing on a totally immovable object because that little pull you get from that spring activates more muscle fibers. This means better results to build more strength and muscle. Also I personally feel the spring feels much better on the joints too. Also I recommend you try the isometric hack squat. This is superior than regular squats because there is no compression on your spine and much less tension on your lower back. I realize you are showing the difference between the two isometric equipment but the best way of doing this is with a power rack with weights and using a bungee cord instead of a Steel pin to press or pull against. The bungee cord acts like a spring. The second best method is using a Smith Machine. The big advantage on the Smith Machine is it’s very fast to set up any position low, middle and high. The disadvantage is you can’t use a bungee cord or spring. Also it cost much more than a power rack. I personally own a power rack and I think it’s the best piece of equipment and investment for any serious bodybuilder, powerlifter or Olympic lifter. I hope you and your followers try the above information. I remember watching you on Pro Wrestling. You did a great job!

I have found that putting a thin rubber mat with a slit cut in it for the attachment loop on the base works great. No more noise.

Good comparison. I don't have either one but admittedly drool over the max. I prefer nylon straps for isometrics.

great in depth comparison Stevie..I have both and it's basically a toss up for me..I have the Isochain set up for certain exercises and the Isomax for other ones which makes for a quick transition..did I need both ? ..of course not but since isometrics make up about 90% of my training, I am done wasting $ on every new thing that comes out..btw, would love to see more vids on isometrics in general..they are so underrated and good to know that you see the value in them...thanks !

So they made it cheaper but kept the price the same? Great vid, but DAMN...500 bucks for the Iso-Max? Wow, maybe the Iso-Chain is worth 500 bucks because it looks like it will last a lifetime, but I think I'll stick with my classic Bullworker for Isos. Thx.

I got a quarter plank of teak from a neighbor, installed eye hooks and bought a length of chain . The noise from the chain was annoying , I changed the chain out for webbing strap , great work out .

Couldn’t we just use the numbered strap with the iso chain spring platform for sound reduction?

This was really cool to watch. Started to get totally engrossed in watching these differences back to back. I’m still in the middle watching, but I’m liking the iso chain as you said with the foot plate distance and overall look.

I got the max, but re-watching this again makes me want the chain. I can see how loud and more cumbersome it is, but something about the steel plate / chain just looks cooler. But the biggest thing you nailed is that rechargeable battery. That does concern me as well.

Great review. I am from Romania, and intend tu buy only the bar. Do you know if unscrew the body bar can you have the acces to rechargeable battery? Anyway for me it is worth to buy only the bar because of shipping costs.

I was wondering if you could do IsoMax over a vibrating plate? I do like that its portable and you can probably get it through an airport with it, without exceeding your weight limitations. Not getting hit in the nuts is also a bonus.

I noticed you got more shedded during the time you owned the Isochain. Do you think this device helped with that or was there something else that was responsible for your results. Thanks.

Isometrics was all I was doing at the time after my spine infection. As a matter of fact, I’ve gone back to dedicated isometrics workouts recently and documenting for a future video.

I noticed the same when NoLimitSquad did a 30 days Isochain challenge. It builds different muscle which is less bloated and tighter.

Hey Stevie, i know its unrelated but should i get the Force USA G10 or the F100, im pretty torn between the 2 and where i live the g10 is 1000$ cheaper! im on more of a budget if that helps!

I would definitely recommend the G10 if you’re looking at a plate loaded all in one trainer. The upgrade kit is a strong choice if your budget allows it. If you do decide to purchase the G10 or anything else, please use my link: www.forceusa.com/stevie

no way it's better, that spring will give a feedback that cannot be replicated by anything else, maybe bands but there is a sweet spot of resistance based on str level.
