Another winner Steve. As a matter of fact I made one of these about ten years ago. It lasted until last summer before I had to trash it. Now I want another one after seeing yours.

Made one of these for the wife. Used some weathered reclaimed wood other than pallet wood and turned out nicely. The wife loves it. Thanks Steve.

I built one of these this week and my wife loves it, so almost 30 other people on Facebook. I changed mine up a little. I was not able to use the slats from the pallet but it was made from re-cycled fence boards. I had fun making it. Please continue to make other projects like this for the yard.

I like to use my jig saw, and drift from one side of the cut line to the other side or use a small circular saw and twist back and forth as I make the cut. It all adds to the Rusticyness(that's my word!) Great job on an inspiring pallet build..😎

I mainly am a wood turner and I make a lot of wood pens/bats, but this seems like a fantastic project that I could do for my mom's garden. Thank you for the idea, and I plan to do this as soon as I get my hands on a couple pallets. I'm sure my mom will thank you too!

This is excellent Steve. I'm watching these videos with my daughter's. What my 7yr old like's is how you show your mistakes, and I think it's cool too. I'm working on a couple of corner units you showed how to do and I have to say that you're inspiring me to do small projects like this at home. On limited tools at the moment. Thanks for sharing and keep it up

Nice! thank you for all the great ideas and videos you take the time to make and share. I've made a few pallet projects before (planter boxes, a tall table, and a swinging chair thing) but today I rescued a 12' long pallet from our jobsite (held siding) that I can't wait to tear apart and start building with! Thanks again!

Thanks for posting this video, Steve! I built this in a day, and it turned out great! I used a broken rake handle for the wheel axel. The planter itself is a decent size (enough to hold a flat of summer annuals). I agree not to bog yourself down with a project like this. My plants don't seem to mind that there are a few gaps and rough edges here and there!

There are so many homes and businesses being remodel or built around me, you would not believe all the wood old, new and different types that is throw in the trash! They are happy to give the scrap wood away. My point, see a home going up stop by and play trash man/woman for them in the wood dept. Thank you roswalt1. I went with Bosch and DeWalt mid to low in price, amps etc.

I just remembered that about 20 years ago I made a 50 gallon fish tank cabinet stand out of oak pallets. I wish I had pictures of it. I used the forklift cutouts as part of the design feature. The handles on your planter reminded me of that. I had no idea when the home center palletized stuff and delivered it that they were charging me a $20 dollar deposit on the pallets! I was cutting them up for stuff and even burning them. Not any more.

I looked at some of Craftsman power saws a couple of weeks ago and they were a dead ringer for a Ryobi. I purchased a Ryobi table saw from Sears Craftsman store about three years ago and it has done a good job. Not for job site or profressional work but DIY great. Need to keep good blade on it as well as any other saw. Good blade cost a little more but the results are more than the little cost.
