"Beach City Drift" is partly an extended riff on the anime "Initial D" - the mountain pass racing, the difference between Kevin's sportscar and the boxy Dondai, the drifting. The wikipedia page for the series has a screenshot from the first race, and it may as well be of the two cars here. (Oh, and according to the "Keep Beach City Weird" blog, Jane and Ronaldo got back together.)

Restaurant Wars seems to endorse business collusion which is a little weird. 😅 Possibly Pearl kills all the 'fits because she's scrawny like a wire hanger (fashion designers seem to love that body type). A restaurant can't survive on fries alone but they're a boardwalk business - like a more permanent fair food vendor.

Love ur reactions i dont think ive commented yet. But i love this show so much. I hate when people shit on the message of the show that people are capable of change when provided with the right circumstances, and say some people cant or are just unwilling, as if the show never adresses that. Then theres kevin. Hes in 2 episodes sure, but that's the point: someone unwilling to change for the better isnt worth your time apart from exposing them for who they are to the people they are to those they might hurt and ignore them. Now kevin isnt the type to activeky be a threat or come for you, but the message is clear when greg literally tells steven that those people arent even worth the satisfaction of thinking about IF they are truly unwilling to admit their faults or change.
