Danish person here! 👋🏼🇩🇰 I love that you're spreading the message of "hygge". I think it's our way to cope with the cold and darkness.😅 That special feeling (hyggelig) can be felt at an event with people you love or simply when reading a book under a blanket by yourself in candlelight. The fact that we have a name for that very feeling I think makes us more aware and appreciative of the small things (also according to a friend who is an anthropologist and linguist) *edit: Thank you so much (mange tak) for the like, Blondie! ❤️

I own an EV - BYD ATTO 3. It's perfectly safe to be inside the car whilst it is charging. In SG, we even switch on the aircon (lowest fan) and enjoy a movie on the "big" 15.6" screen infotainment unit. In SG, it can be very hot or wet, so sometimes, it is best to be inside the car!

The Chinese equivalent of this hyggy term in "Dongbeinese" is Mao Dong (猫冬,猫as in躲猫猫,or hide;冬,as in 冬天,winter)literally translates to "hide during winter". It is done by staying inside as much as possible, avoid going out at all... while keeping toasty warm on the heated bed of rural Dongbei 火炕😀 You can try a traditional Dongbei food place with the heated bed, the Dongbei food is perfect for the winter time ❄️

猫冬 literally translates to "Cat during winter". Cat means hide. Think of cat as a verb. How cute is that

@@liminghaung8636 You may be of Chinese descent but your explanation is not correct: mao 猫 as a noun. means cat in Chinese. But mao 猫 as a verb. means the movement of bending down one's body to hide. For an example: 猫腰 maoyao would mean "cat waist" from your explanation. That would make no sense.

It’s seriously such a vibe just trampling through the snow, freezing, to get to their apartment, being warmly welcomed at the door into their cozy home, and having a family dinner (feast) of their special homemade cooking. Then the heavy snow outside amplifies the vibe just knowing it is freezing there but you are warm and snug with your family inside.❤❤ the best best ❤❤

I don’t know if china has cinnamon incense, but it’s soooooo lovely 😍 I first got it during my study abroad in Bhutan, so it absolutely transports me back there every time I smell it lol I’m guessing, but I think it was made with “true” cinnamon rather than cassia. I’ve heard cassia is the most common cinnamon in China, so Chinese cinnamon incense might be a bit different But I still recommend to try it if you find it! It smells kind of like snickerdoodle cookies baking, plus a little peppery note, combined with that musky herbal profile more common in temple incense

Here is a tip, when you cook those sweet potatoes in your lovely new little pot, get some cheese clothes, wet them and place them under your potatoes, that way you wont get a burnt skin but a crispy one. Or if you want to go all out then you can get some cooking stones and fill the bottom with cooking stones, this is the best option but cheese cloths is also a good way that's cheap and provides a quick steam in the beginning which is better for the skin, but the stones will stop the burning that you get from touching the metal. Which gives the better outcome, can't say without testing your setup. But I think the more Chinese way to do it, if you can call it that, is to make a DIY wire rack that will fit in the bottom. Another thing you could try is to turn the sweet potatoes as is half way through the cooking process, you will get a better result but not the best result. Anyway, hope my ramble wasn't too boring and is helpful is somewhat way lol PS I think you're on your own with that croissant door handle but I can appreciate your candle 😂
