Thank you for checking out my Breath Of Fire 3 Review!
Breath of Fire as a series originally debuted in 1993 on the Super Nintendo known in japan as Breath Of Fire: The Dragon Warrior. A year later in 1994 it was localized for the west and lost its subtitle.
Breath of Fire 2 would later release in North America in 1995. And then The third game in the series, breath of fire 3 would later be released on the Sony PlayStation on September 11th 1997.
Something that set breath of fire apart from its competitors on the SNES was that the game used much more detailed realistically proportioned sprites for your characters during combat. In similar fashion final fantasy 7s lego block monster people being used for overworld exploration and then cool realistic sprites for combat.
This was fairly unique for its time when even Chrono Trigger and final fantasy would just use the same sprites in and out of combat.
Another interested note is each breath of fire game is its own standalone story but each games main character is named Ryu, and each Ryu meats a girl name Nina and every breath of fire game has a location named Wyndia however none of these ryus, ninas or wyndias are the same.
Breathe of Fire 3 is a Turn Based JRPG from the PlayStation Era brought to you by Capcom the company behind Resident Evil, Megaman, Street fighter and much more. I think the most amazing part of this series is its from a company that doesn't really do JRPGs. EA should have been paying attention to Capcom back in the day.
