I really appreciate the comparison. I have the P Duo with the Dawson comp and the surefire. I left the trigger at 4lbs but the added length and weight of the P makes it feel a little better to shoot in my opinion. I also get a little nervous with really light triggers so there is that as well.

I 100% agree man, The limited P is my pops gun. I have a standard P with threaded barrel with 4lbs and im excited to do mine and keep my 4lbs trigger. Trust me the xc has scared me ones already lol

appreciate the kind words man, thank you very much. Awesome you have the limited versions, thats honestly the way to go. I dont wanna tell you go one way or the other but in this case as you have 2 limiteds i would say get one of them the ice comp and give it a try before you jump on the XC if your not sure. The ice comp will really impress you for $230 bucks and shipping your slide to dawsonprecision. the c2 with ice comp is the size of the XC and has the shorter slide which i have a feeling its going to feel amazing with that 2lb trigger.

Nice vid bro. I’ve seen that malfunction before with one of my customers who has a XC. He’s left handed as well and I found out it’s because your support hand is hitting the slide lock/slide release nipple on the right side of the gun pushing it inwards. He sent it back to Staccato and they refitted and new one that extends past the frame which solved the issue.

I think it was mainly me riding my hand high, but regarding the lefty on video its because the video is inverted cause the camera i use. Im getting this fixed in my next videos but good eye.

Regarding for carrying one with the ice comp i would say go with the c2 regular non limited threaded barrel and get the ice comp which is like 250 or 300 something like that. It will make it the size of the XC and you can take the comp and also conceal carry. Which ever way you go its going to be a very nice treat.

Definitely flatter, looks like leas recoil but definitely feels very good next to the xc when you shoot back to back each one its so hard to tell but with the XC there is this speed. nutty guns, both of the.

Great video! I've been researching for my first 2011. Trying to decide between a P or a C2 (the XC is just too pricey for me right now). I like the Dawson comp because it doesn't void your warranty.

warranty is one of my favorite parts about that as well, and having the option to take it on and off or just running a suppressor. if im being honest the c2 has a special place in my heart. great shooting gun for the size.

If you have below average size hands I would get the C2, average and above I would get the P. Just my 2 cents, I have owned both and sold the C2. I have big hands (3XL glove) so the C2 wasn't a great range pistol for me and it wasn't something I was interested in using for concealed carry. Of course if you think you might actually want to conceal carry the C2 then it's an awesome choice.

Staccato is a production gun. Parts are parts. The quality of parts in the XC are not any better than in their other versions. The staccato XC is tuned very differently. It is tune to be a can competition gun. Where is the Staccato P is tuned to be a duty gun. A compensator by itself only does so much. You also have to adjust the trigger weight as well as recoil spring weight. Staccato XC: trigger weight 2.5 pounds Recoil spring 8 or 9 pounds Staccato P: trigger weight 4 pounds Recoil spring 13 pounds. If you take a threaded Staccato P, and put one of the two comps on the market on there, change the recoil spring to eight or 9 pounds. And trigger job it to 2.5, now you are getting a comparable comparison. An addition, I personally put on a cheely grip and an atlas trigger.

The limited Edition P ice comp models come tuned like an XC with a 2.5lbs trigger and lighter recoil spring along with the Dawson precision ice comp and some lighting cuts. The limited edition P is their competition-tuned P model.

I have the P Limited. Still had the trigger worked on and had an Atlas trigger put in. The biggest advantage of the P is it is an overall all-around gun. I take the compensator off and throw on an omega 9K and you have a perfect home defense gun.

I am not using my safariland for the Ice comp or XC just yet, im gonna be modding them to able to run both including the sro which will also need modding. For now im running the floodlight phlster holster for x300ub lightd and it has worked amazing for the P regular, XC and Ice comp. I have the holsters setup on the QLS systems for a thigh rig.

how does the Griffin Armament compensator compare with the ICE comp in terms of length on the staccato P? I carry appendix and the thread protector portion is already jabbing me while sitting down, so i worried about adding too much extra length going with a compensatory. I've heard many people who carry the P IWB/appendix have that issue as well.

Its long with the griffin micro comp, just slightly longer than the x300 which would make it longer than an xc. The griffin micro comp is more of a really fancy threaded barrel which is very so slightly compensating. Its definitely better than the stock thread protector. The ice comp will be like half an inch longer than the micro comp. Ice comp definitely does it thing and it really works but it will make the gun long as hell.

hahaha , let me know what you think at the end. I will say with a red dot I could have been quicker, hard to track the front post on the P and front post on the XC is on the barrel and does not move so it was hard to tell that way. Design of each is unique.

If you are not familiar with 2011 and triggers I would do research or get with a good smith and he can adjust the trigger weight for you including replacing it with a flat trigger as well if you want. Its a lot to explain through this.

QVO makes holsters, depending what optic you can run aftermarket safariland holster like for the XC or what I run the Floodlight phlster for x300 and it will work with any gun which has that light mounted.

yes i have, I also own and shadow 2 optic ready and it is a big upgrade, they honestly shoot much softer and are very forgiving when your technique is off the gun still performs amazing. The cz can do the same but not as good as this 2011 is my opinion. Also the comps on this truly make it very flat. I have not shot a tso but i hear those are fenominal and if optic cut low and ready it would be hard to pass up.

absolutely not man, very easy and it would not even take 2 full mins to remove and add on. It come with the tools needed and literally screw in and off and aligne it right and your done.

If you willing to drop the cash for the XC i would say go that direction. The XC does feel more natural, and the machined 1 piece integrated comp is amazing designed for the price and staccato XC offers the most affordable 2011 with that package than any other brand. A C2 with an ice comp sounds very intriguing to me cause i can take the comp on and off and EDC the c2 threaded barrel which would make it the size of the P. P ice comp is the size of the XL.

Not a fan of the look of the Ice Compensated P. To me the P is supposed to be an uncompensated service/duty/tactical/carry pistol and it just looks aesthetically wrong with what looks like a 90s era racegun comp stuck on the end. If I was gonna go compensated, XC is so much better in the looks department.

HAHA it does looks like 90's comp guns lol. someone in the staccato FB group posted a gator missing its bottom part of his mouth and it looked like a dawson ice comp lol. I do think the c2 with ice comp is a better fit and you can take it off and conceal carry which is cool.

lol your good, one belongs to my dad and the XC is mine, i did a 3 month layaway program and it felt like it was paid in no time. Totally worth it, i put a nice little down made my 3 payments and the hardship was over 😆

@@marksc1929 100% the C2, trust me you want thay capacity and 2011 just hold value so well . The C is unfortunately discontinued by staccato, they sent an email on it and introduced the SC. If you like smaller like the 48mos or 43xmos than CS will be your bet. C2 will be bigger and thicker but a dream to shoot. I hear the SC is also a dream to shoot though. I would narrow it down b/w rhe CS and C2.
