The heart of music in one video. 🔥 I’m forever grateful that I trusted you back in 2017. You changed my playing and changed my life. I can’t explain how consistently excited I am about picking up my guitar and making progress toward my goals. I hope one day to share all this work I’ve put into it.
@kevinfairless219711 ай бұрын
I took started in 2017 with Stich... And it's changed my life, changed the way I play when I pick up the guitar. The way he teaches is incredible.. he makes it make sense. I went from struggling what I was reading when learning tabs. To now I can see the patterns behind what they are doing. Not to mention my own improvising has improved dramatically.

I love it! When you get into cinematic type chord progressions that are more chromatic or use mode mixture, you could swap out scales from your formula, and replace it with “intervals + chord tones / chords” I find that I end up making up my own obscure scales when I just think about what intervals I want to hear over each chord. What consonant sounds and what dissonant sounds? I use the chord tones to guide my fingers and then just find the non chord tones in relation to them. It’s like making a custom scale for each song, without having to really think about the scale.

VERY EXCITED ABOUT THIS!!! My New Year's resolution is to stop procrastinating about wanting to learn lead guitar and get going. I picked you to start my journey into this abyss :). I have been watching numerous videos from different channels and I ended up here because I see a genuine person wanting to help others, and you do! I'm not saying other channels on here aren't genuine in wanting to show the truth about guitar playing, I just really like your mannerism/character /personality as a person and I just sense that I won't be wasting time trying to figure out where I am suppose to start with guitar playing. Thank you for you!

Thank you so much for your lessons. I’ve been playing for 30 Years and I have never felt like I understood the guitar. I have plenty of tricks up my sleeves but I’m far from where I want to be. I think I will learn a lot from you.

I’m the intermediate guitarist you’re talking to. 54 years old and my skill level does not reflect the thousands of hours I’ve spent playing over the last 30 years. I spent 2 decades resigned to being a “campfire player” and it’s only in the last year that I have reignited my desire to become more…to understand more. I have spent hours and hours pouring through youtube videos for the last year and have learned plenty but I feel like the way I’m learning is very inefficient. Scattered and unfocused. I hate it, because I really want to learn and grow still in my music but I feel the clock ticking. I like the idea you’re putting forth with this video. I WANT to believe. Subscribed. We’ll see. 😊

I'd suggest you add a "T" (CHT for "chord tones") over the line. Having CH on top and on bottom makes some who use algebra want to cancel the two CHs out and remove them.

I was thinking of that too. I’m sure it will change a bit as I tweak it for the masses

You earned my trust a long time ago with all your lessons that are responsible for countless eye-opening "ah-ha!"-moments when it comes to guitar playing. Thanks for all your work, I'm glad you're finally back with regular uploads. Small side note: I can't help but notice how I liked your previous background better... Those guitars looked great and it gave the videos a "lighter", more friendly feel. This background seems a bit... gloomy? Just my 2cts. Looking forward to your upcoming videos!
