“Technology does not take the place of good technique.” Agreed! Unfortunately, once we get used to safety technology, sometimes a person can become lax. Comparing tool safety to car safety systems nowadays, we can become so used to safety systems protecting us that we forget defensive driving techniques. Then when we drive an older vehicle (or use an older tool, in this case), we forget those safety techniques that should be second nature to us.

Pushsticks: to me the ONE pushstick type device that adds more accuracy and safety than any competitor is Grr-Ripper from Microjig Saw Stop: This move will kill off entry level hobby woodworkers because of the cost of Saw Stop tech. So if used gets grandfathered, that is where newbies can shop

Thanks for the comment. I have heard excellent reviews of the Gripper, but have never used one. I am not sure of the implications of the recent decisions regarding SawStop. Canada seems to be about 10 years behind the US so it may not be an issue for me. I hope there is common sense in what ever they do, but counting on government for common sense is allot to ask. Thanks for watching and commenting.
