I’m not sure, but I think vinyl could work better. Keep in mind that ink from inlet printers might not be waterproof so give it a try first.

Thank you so much I have a Cannon Pixma MX922 and an Epson Workforce 7620 and used the Avery Matte White Sticker paper and I was very disappointed ☹️ the results were as you have confirmed in the video and I will be searching for the other paper in the review . Hi this vid really helped me narrow my search so thanks a ton! I plan to add a lamination to my stickers. I was gonna use the LD here but since it is already glossy I was wondering if it'd be weird to add the laminate to something that is already shiny. Do you have any opinion on this? What settings do you suggest to use to print stickers with? Like....just "plain paper" and quality on "high" or "matte" or "glossy" photo paper plus "high" quality.....I feel the color looks different when I use photo paper and high quality settings... which is weird. But If I just use "plain paper" and quality on "high" i get nice colors BUT slightly shadowy grainy quality close up.

It depends on what you want the sticker for. For my nieces I always print on standard quality, but for businesses I would suggest to use high quality. It also depends on your printer. Some printers, like the one I use, print at a very high quality even in low quality setting. Try different settings in different papers and make a swatch using the color test and keep them handy for when you print again.

I dont think you put the right link for LD premium, because the one you put was the regular LD glossy, and I've used that paper before and it wasn't as good as i thought, I even had a friend tell me it wasn't great quality, and on amazon theres another link " LD Premium glossy sticker paper 50 sheet" which i found on my own, but I thought that was the actual one you were talking about. So is that the correct one you like to use or have you tried the one i mentioned which also on the title says "resin-coated"? Im thinking aobut trying that one to see how it works. The LD glossy; if I printed something black and white, kept smearing off when i brushed my fingers across the design after printing, and when i printed something detailed it left a lottttttt of little marks like as if the image was distorted. So that one you left on the link, to me, wasn't the best choice, but maybe it couldve just been my printer.

It is just for instructional purposes so you guys understand it is not just the thickness of the actual sticker what matters, but also the liner. I always test all my papers and keep track of their thicknesses, that way I reduce the guessing part. You don’t need one though, it is just the OCD freak in me.

Really in depth comparisons. Do any of the sticker papers you've tested turn yellow? I've seen some reviews on the LD paper that said it does.

I have not had any issues with the stickers I use on my planners. I believe they could turn yellow under sunlight thought, like most coated glossy papers do, even fancy photography paper like canon’s do. I’ll add that test and report when I have reached a conclusion. Thanks for letting me know.

Can I use regular canon mg 2900 printer? Also if i just put clear sticker paper in my printer like a regular printer paper will it come out glossy like and if I put white sticker paper will it come out matte like. Also can I use regular 'Dummy' ink.

Hi Reyhanna. Yes. All Canon Pixma printers can achieve a really good printing quality. Regarding papers, the finish depends on the paper’s surface; if it’s glossy, you’ll end up with a shiny surface, if it’s matte, it’ll be dull. I wouldn’t know about dummy ink. It depends on the quality and that varies a lot. Good luck. 🍀

Guessing Canadian, since you said pricing at a reasonable cost was limited and you also had to pay more than you should have. Canadian here. Most shipping is often more expensive than the product making it double the cost (before taxes and applicable import fees) depending where you’ve purchased from. Even amazon sucks for us price wise and with what’s actually available. Sadness

so i got the LD glossy sticker papers but what i noticed was immediately once it was printed the ink was very easy to rub off of the sticker paper? am i supposed to let it sit for a while and let dry ? cause it does say on there that its quick dry but its not really that quick lol wondering if you have any tips

I have used the clear sticker paper for laser printers. I successfully created foiled stickers using a regular monochrome printer and deco foil with a sovereign laminator. The process is very simple and the results are stunning. I have not tried any other kind of paper from them because of the high overseas shipping costs, but I’m very happy with the clear paper. What printer are you using ? I have an HP office inkjet and I am seriously disappointed that almost nothing works from reviews. If you know what would work it would be greatly appreciated

I use a Canon Pixma 7200. It’s a great printer and allows you to print “borderless” (not absolutely borderless, but slightly off the edge). I have tried alternative inks and I wouldn’t recommend them because the results are kind of faded and the colors are completely off. It is wireless and allows air printing, so you can print directly from any IOS device. My only critique would be that it takes a long time to start up, but I don’t mind that’s really. Good luck! Online labels has a great laser printer white paper quality. As for printers I’ve only used monochrome printers and my brother laser printer has, so far, given me nothing but good quality printing for a very low price.

Both my printers can do that. My brother printer has a feeding slot dedicated for special paper and I’ve no trouble using 110lb. I do remove the back cover to avoid bending and curling of thicker material. As for my Canon printer, it handles it beautifully! There a bit of curling but nothing too serious. So I would recommend them both.

As always a great, informative video. I do need to know which one goes through the printer best. I’m using an HP printer & Silhouette white sticker paper but it will only grab it about 5% of the time which is seriously frustrating & expensive. Any help would be so greatly appreciated.

I use a Canon Pixma 7200. Works amazing, it even prints 110 lb cardstock. I would advise you to empty the paper tray and put only one sheet of paper each time. The coating of some sticker papers and the lining could be preventing the printer from grabbing the sheets. Try cleaning the roller mechanism in the tray with some rubbing alcohol before considering a new printer. Hope that helps.

Not at all. Many papers turn yellowish when you leave them exposed to sunlight so that might be it. As for the adhesive, I have not had any trouble either although I only use them for planners and other flat paper surfaces. Ink bit drying I’ve heard it from people that use alternative inks on their printers, but I didn’t experience that.

I tried the LD photo paper and my cricut explore air can't read the registration marks because it is a glossy material. Even if I go over the registration marks with a sharpie, it doesn't work every time. Then I have to go through hoops and print the project on copy paper, cut a square in the middle to only keep the registration marks and try to align it with the sticker paper and stick it with tape. It's a pain in the butt really XD. Do you have any tips?

You can use just a tiny bit of anti static powder, the one you use for stamping and heat embossing. It's worked for me in the past. The problem is not he registration mark itself, but the white shiny part!. Good Luck!
