The 25 year Toronto Maple Leafs rebuild did pretty well so it is time to run it back. Today, I am rebuilding the Montreal Canadiens until franchise mode ends.

You inspired me to do one of my own, and I decided my rule would be to go with their own theme lately and make a Jumbo team. Opening year 1 I traded out Suzuki and Cole - had a top line of Slav / Byfield / Dach and they did way better than I expected (Dach PPG, Slav 40+ g), added Laine and Knies, Copp & Perron for rentals, and David Jiricheck. I set most of my scouts to only look for power forwards and only drafted giants. By year 2 my entire team is like 22 and under, cap floor, low rated but enormous with Reinbacher and co here now and they're running over the league and I'm in the conference finals last I stopped hahah.

I am doing this rebuild sa well now but my team looks (of course) quite a bit different. For the G, I somehow got a crazy trade deadline steal in the first season through with Florida in Jake Allen + some low round picks for Spencer Knight that immediately into the second season came in with 90 overall and 3 superstar abilities. Incredible

Best Strat: Do horrible for a 3/4 years and draft ur future with those valuable top 5/10 picks and sign free agents to trade at the deadline. Then sign those players to long term deals and draft your depth and trade your 1st every year for a superstar rental and then draft good. Then once the core gets old you rebuild like at the start.
