Thomas, thanks for always sharing not only your own creativity and talents but also these pillars - Stone, Morello, … - with us. Vielen Dänke!

Just wanted to say a massive thank you; your stone killer #2 led me to your drumeo technique video which I've been taking to the kit this week. It's made or difference to my drumming than anything else for almost 20 years. Legend. 🙏🙏🙏

I understand the technique being demonstrated, but what blows my mind is the effortless drumming. Those little improvised fills are amazing!

Joe Morello: Master Studies Book I and Book II. Both are excellent for building technique, control and touch on the snare. However, the exercises are easily orchestrated around the drum set as well.

I hear you Hans - I am a drummer but I love to listen to other musicians such as Stevie Ray Vaughn, Charlie Parker and Oscar Petersen simply because I admire virtuosity, no matter what the instrument.

Good Question, it's on his channel already! Freaking amazing kit!

3:10 this probably a dumb question, but why does he raise his drumsticks higher (farther from the snare) the faster he goes? I was taught that the faster you go, the closer your sticks are to the snare. I’m a new drummer, so please forgive my ignorance ❤
@MichaelMarion962 ай бұрын
Hey hopefully i can answer your question! basically, you are correct! the faster you play, the closer your sticks will be to the snare. He is basically just emphasizing the accents on the double strokes on every second hit to show how it is properly done. As long as you play consistent and build power you are doing it correct!

I'm just trying to get both-faster AND louder! It's hard. Welcome to the drum-fam!
