Sticky, Clinger or Remora holster, which one is my favorite?

Thanks for watching! Wanted to add a little note here that my husband actually prefers the Sticky holster. He thinks the Remora material is uncomfortable. The Sticky is more comfortable, but the Remora sticks better, so it's really about what is more important to you:)

I'm an average size guy with no gut and have been carrying for about six years now. After owning many different types of holsters, I finally settled on pocket carry almost exclusively (except when in a higher risk situation like pumping gas), then I go in the waistband. I agree with your thoughts on selection (all reviewed are suitable). My final holster choice was a Sticky (easy to change carry positions without changing your holster). Nice review !

I've been carrying a Ruger LCP in a Sticky for a few years now. You can wear it IWB or stick it down into your back packet. It works great. Not quite as "sticky" as it was when it was new but still stays in place.

I have the sticky holster for all my pistols. My every day carry is a Springfield Armory XD mod .2 9mm and with my job I’m in and out of the truck all day and I like the truck mount they have that you can put in my center consul so it’s easy for me to put in an out of my jeans very comfortable holds and draws great! And very concealable very comfortable I can even drive with it on if I don’t put my consul it’s only one I bought and I like it and I highly recommend the sticky holster plus it keeps your gun cleaner to and it covers the trigger guard so if you’re new to being a license to carry and plan on caring every day and you don’t want to do a clip sticky holster is what I would choose

I carry my 9mm Baretta FS92 with a Sticky holster. I absolutely love it. I'm not a big person and I call my gun The Beast because it's so big. I carry every day with iit and its really comfortable. It doesn't slide or move around. When they said Sticky they weren't kidding! Have a great day.

I have the Remora and I think it stays in place very well. I've never had it slip down or come out with the gun when drawing but you do have to take it out to re-holster your gun. Hope your enjoying your summer.

i was hoping you would show us how it works when you draw the gun out of the holster while wearing your various clothing material, especially the elastic shorts. Gym shorts are my normal wear when around the house and during those times when I walk outside to investigate why our dog is barking, I sometimes take a small hand gun with me, you know, just in case.... I would like to see how well the holster stays in the elastic waistband and not coming out with the gun. And then the reholstering would be nice to see as well. Maybe you can do a follow up? Anyway, I appreciate the new information about these holsters. Keep 'em coming!

I actually like the Safariland 7378 for my Glock 43 for that type of stuff. It's a paddle holster and is owb but with a long hoodie it would be concealed. Also it's Soo much more comfortable than an iwb.

When I was 20 lbs. lighter my stomach looked like yours!. I used and loved the Sticky holster with the Shield. It worked great in appendix carry: walking, sitting, and horseback. But when I got fatter and older I started carrying the little LCP 2 and its Sticky holster tends to pop out due to my fat gut!! So I had to buy a IWB with a clip to keep it in place when carrying appendix. I'm working on losing the proverbial 10 lbs. because I love the Sticky holster.

I used Sticky holster w/my G43 for as long as I've owned it. Worked well for a few years but it started to wear down after using it on bike rides several days a week. Switched to the Clinger holster hoping for a little more stickiness. But the Clinger started a rash on my waist. Bought a new Sticky and haven't looked back. I bike several miles at a time (15 - 20), sweating a bunch but it never moves. I will say it sometimes feels like it's slipping, but it's always in the exact same spot. So, it must be in my head. I have a Remora for my G19 but don't use it that much.

Great comparison video. I have been using the Remora holsters ever since Falia Photography did her review a number of years ago. I actually purchase a Remora holster for every handgun that I get. I like leaving the handgun in the Remora for storage. I usually get the leather liner option and haven't had any issues with long-term storage in my safe. I also don't have any slippage issues with the Remora when using it in elastic waistband shorts. You just have to have some common sense and realize that if you wear a heavy firearm, it is going to want to sag in your waistband if it isn't tight. Oh well, that's my two cents worth. I've watched more of these reviews than I care to count. Yours is by far the best. I have Sticky and find it constantly needs to be adjusted because it slips down even if I have a belt on, nothing like saying "Hey I'm armed, take me out first". Now to find a Remora for my sp101

Check out the Blackhawk! pocket. It is way softer inside and won't cause holster wear and they are like 10 bucks. I have one for the lcp ii, glock 42, glock 43, glock 19 for when im taking road trips of many hours. I had a sticky for about a week and brought it back to Dicks when i discovered Blackhawk

I own a stick holster and love it. I have only had one slip and that was when a was wearing a silky style shirt tucked in. The holster slip on the material. After I adjusted the material never happened again. I am a heavier guy and it works great for appendix carry.

I tested the draw in the shorts. I drew 10 times each. The Sticky and Remora stayed put every time the Clinger came out once.

One of these might work for my niece when she gets out of college or turns 21, depending on how she feels about carrying. Currently she is not in a carry friendly State though. As far as I can tell, she likes to change outfits 3-4 times per day, so she would need a particularly versatile system.

A friend had told me about the Sticky holster. I didn't know that there were other brands. Looking for my first holster, and now you gave me more options. I was sold on the Sticky, but when you talked about sweating.... I realized that you were speaking my language. I sweat terribly! You described the Remora as a "Rubber" feel to the material? My skin kinda reacts to rubber and latex materials, so breaking out in a rash is not going to be comfortable. I have a Glock 19 and I'm ready to conceal carry, just have to find the right holster for me. Thank you for your comparison. Take care 2A4E.

I don't think most guys carry in the front waistband since as we get older, we tend to grow the stomach and it makes the gun print more. Women on the other hand are how do you say, perkier up top and this holds the tee shirt out away from the body and helps not to print. With this in mind, I have been searching for the best holster for me. Alien Gear has just come out with a shoulder holster that I would like to see you review. Thanks, I enjoy your videos.

This is going to sound weird but I actually like my safariland 7378 for my Glock 43. It works with sweats (can confirm), and jeans with ease. I was surprised at how well an owb was concealing with hoodies.

Running with most types of weighted waist packs, bands, etc. ends up getting bounced and gravity just wins, unless you have shoulder straps, ie a full light pack. Larger waist packs need wider belts, and any stretch or elastic actually is bad, because it just stretches and creeps down. Light shorts or sweat pants would have to have a non-elastic drawstring to keep these holsters in place.

Would you consider trying, maybe reviewing, the Allen Spiderweb holster? I picked one up and love it. It was $9 at Fleetfarm in Milwaukee. Its similar to these holsters and it works great. Thanks.

Hey, good to see you again. I bought the sticky for my glock 19, and I bought the clinger for my glock 43. I know it's frowned upon but, I like to pocket carry my glock 43. Sometimes I have to pull the grip on my 43 back toward my hip to get the gun out without the clinger holster as well. It really takes practice. I just picked up a Sig p36. I've noticed that the smallest clinger holster is too big for that gun. They do not have a holster to fit such a small gun, just yet. I might look into the remora, if they have one for the 365. I did order the JM4 tactical for the Sig but didn't receive it yet. If I find something better, I'll let you know. By the way.. I do have the JM4 tactical for my glock 43 and love it. David Finizio. I usually pocket carry my 43. It works well with a nice size pocket on jeans or in a cargo shorts pocket. When I carry the 4 round extension, I usually wear a longer shirt. It really is a cool holster. When not in use, I just stick it to the inside door of my gun cabnit.

I recently acquired a new Walther PPQ M2 and have been researching holsters for owb & iwb. You do a really nice job with your reviews. I have selected a Vedder Light Draw for owb and a Hidden Hybrid appendix/side single clip w/claw for the iwb. Have you checked out Hidden Hybrid? I've had a total of 3 of their holsters and they are first rate imho. Also this is my first holster from Vedder and it is top quality as well.

Welcome back! I got 2 Stickys for my 509 and my Security 9. They're really gr8. It's a little loose for the Security 9 but in my jeans and gun belt it's not an issue. I just ordered a V3 Ultra Concealment for the 509. It's said that OWB holsters aren't that good for concealment but I want to try it out for myself. Anyway, I just discovered the Dene Adams channel and the girl there has reviewed corset holsters. Any chance you might review one of those? Laters. 🔫 😎

With drawstring workout pants I use a belly band rig....I don't trust any of these gripper holster with drawstring pants. Gripper style holster work great otherwise with regular clothes.

Had 2 sticky, and they both were junk! Faltered in a month! Went with a Remora gen2 with clip! Bingo, great holster! The rear sights kept catching on the sewn inseam on the sticky. Website says to put cleaning patches in bottom! BS, why should I have to make adjustments on their product! Youve been warned Sticky sucks!

I promise you, no one is looking or even notices. Been carrying concealed since 1996 with zero issues. But I will say, we ALL feel self-conscious about it from time to time. Just commit to getting as close to 100% carry as possible. I think that really made me feel better over time.

Girls pockets are tiny, so I've never been to carry that way. I have used them in hoodie and coat pockets though, it's just a different kind of draw:)

If she's busy running around with kids, I'd suggest a kydex holster, or using a trigger guard. I have a video where I show putting a kydex insert into soft holsters. You can also buy trigger guards for your gun. Having a gun with a safety would be good also. No matter what, she'll need great retention and trigger protection:)
