Michael I thought the same thing!! I got 2 expensive ass cat ( naked cats ) Sphynx cats and called the vet to get them clipped and it’s not a tracker. Actually if your dog runs away and somebody finds them, they have to take it to like Petsmart or a vet for them to read the chip or see if they have a chip so the likelihood of someone returning a sphynx cat is slim to none.

My tip to everyone, not just Gabe, as a dog behaviorist: Dog parks are *very* risky, especially when larger dogs with a lot more bite power are involved. So if you’re going to go, purchase & always carry what’s called a “break stick”. Frankly I’d recommend you have it on you any time your dog is out with you, bc you never know if a loose dog could show up. Carry a dog deterrent spray and/or a can of compressed air anywhere you go with your dog. First yell at the approaching dog, if that doesn’t work you spray towards the ground in front of them, then *only* if neither of those work should you spray it directly at the strange dog. If you have a small dog (like the captain 🫡), pick it up. If you’re not able to pick them up, turn them around and put their front half through your legs and hold them there so their hindquarters are facing the other dog. Give those people a piece of your mind and/or report them. And if you get the classic “my dog is friendly!” line? Hit them with “I don’t care!” // “my dog isn’t!” // “you’re the one putting your dog in danger and going to get stuck with an emergency vet bill because of it some day”
