I just redid two 011s and I have to say, they're really easy to work on. Just pay attention to how things are assembled and what screws go where and you can fix them. All the necessary parts are available online, including the oilers, for very reasonable prices. I got 5 chains, a bar, 4 carb kits, 6 vibration dampers, and some other gaskets and filters for 120 bucks. I have a 1980 011AV, a 1985 011AVT, and a 2020ish MS170. The new saw has some advantages but the old workhorses are much better built. I noticed the fuel lines take a shit on these saws regularly so I would order new fuel lines regardless of how they look. Make sure the filter and line in the tank are able to flop around freely so it can pick up fuel out of position. Great video, by the way...

Can you tell me where to buy the inlet manifold gasket for my 010 ? as well as the carburettor GASKETS ? I noticed that some sow 009 010 011 some have WALBRO carburettors and some have Zama carburettors yet they fit to one other ....IS THE "H "one turn out ? as well the '" L"? which to tune first the H or the L ? THANKS

@@tonyd6821 I usually find the parts on ebay, Amazon, or my local parts house Dickensons equipment. Stay with both screws at 1 turn and adjust from there. L screw is low or idle adjust. H screw is high or max rpm adjust. Hope this helps

Some times opening the petrol cap a lot of air pressure come out ....is that a good sign ? What is the reason for the black pipe ? Is it very important ? Should I check if the line is not blocked ?

Usually pressure isn't a problem if it was in the sun. But if the noise is vacuum then the breather isn't working. Which back pipe are you referring to?

​@RayofallTrades I know this is an old video with an old comment but I would think any pressure or vacuum in the fuel tank would indicate a clogged vent tube. It should equalize the pressure between the tank and atmosphere so I would pull the little plate off of the foam end of the vent tube and make sure it's not clogged up with fine sawdust and oil

I have the same model that was my dad's saw. I was wondering if you knew about the chain tensioner screw? I tried tightening chain with it, but the chain is staying loose. Thanks.

I don't remember what it looked like but can you see if the adjuster screw barb is in the hole in the bar?. That's the most common issue second to a stripped barb which is the part that moves the bar.

@@RayofallTrades the screw just basically turns and never bottoms out. Also the screw will just pull out.

@@DB-rr5kx sounds like the barb is actually missing. Its looks similar to a square nut with an arm sticking out that grabs the hole in the bar. Do a search for chainsaw bar adjuster and you should see pictures of what they resemble

How like you are !!! I wish my 010 will give me some pleasure in starting ? After so many times in pulling apart the carburettor cleaning an cheeking and even putting in new gaskets ...new fuel line...new spark plug ---got sparks----- It starts and stops ...other time only starts when I pull the staring rope ..... I like my saw and give them plenty attentions in cleaning and storing So where is the mystery to make it starts ?? After watching several video es how to install a new fuel line I have developed my idea ....I heat the end of the fuel hose and pull it ..it get thinner and with a small diameter of peace of wire or string I tied up the thin part of the fuel line and pull it through the hole of the tank because the diameter is small it come out very easy and after the plays or the hands do the rest ....

Thanks for watching and the fuel line idea! Starts and stops makes me think the impulse hole on the carb may be blocked. Would also cause it not to Rev up. Also could the metering valve be out of adjustment on the carb?

Let me try to find the segments in 1 of my videos. But the impulse hole is the small hole between carb and block. The metering valve is the spring loaded part inside the carb
