Stihl 026 Chainsaw Repair of AV system and contact switch

In this video the repair is shown of a Stihl 026 Chainsaw. The rubbers of the AV system are checked and replaced by original Stihl parts. Also the electrical contact of the on/off switch is repaired and placed back.

I have one of these chainsaws 026 pro I was wondering what the switch on the right hand side between the two screws on the handle is for and I was wondering if you could tell me why the handle on my chainsaw gets so hot it feels like it’s gonna burn my hands

This switch is for turning on and off the handle heaters. If this switch is in 'on' position (downwards) and all works well, it will give you nice warm hands in cold winter time. Looking from the backside the corresponding symbols are visible on the frame at the switch location.
