Hi Jay, what a lovely piece of Timber, saw sounds a treat

Thanks for the video. How do you like the saw? I put a 461 oiler in mine for better output, but to be fair, I didn’t even run the saw with the stock oiler after my experiences with Stihl’s stingy oilers. In my opinion, the 400 is a good versatile saw.

Hi, I put a high output oil pump in mine as well. Before the new pump it was only using not quite half of the oil tank. Now it uses 95 %. I’m very happy with that. Wasn’t sure about how it would handle the 32” inch oak- 25” bar but Imho it was very good, coming off a ms 362 there is no comparison, I love running this saw.

@@zarly59I cut oak pretty commonly and when I do, I use a 25” Tsumura and a full comp RS. Occasionally I’ll run a 28” in softer stuff. I use a 660 for anything bigger than that. I had to retune my 400 twice, it kept 4-stroking badly and didn’t seem to have any torque. It worked itself out though. My 362 was good but I like the 400 more. Good cutting
