Get it Running, Dunning

Күн бұрын

I filmed how I made a tuned expansion chamber with limited tools and experience. I want to thank all the people who made this information accessible to me through putting it online somewhere. The motor on the bike I made by splicing together a motorized bike bottom end and a Stihl chainsaw cylinder. I am by no means the first to do that and would like to thank the many people before me who pioneered the art of making a cheap engine go fast. I've pulled from many sources and to site them all would take a long time but I recommend checking out 2stroke stuffing and AuMechanic on KZbin if you're interested in this stuff. May the 2 stroke never die, Amen.

I have to admit, I got a good laugh at your square tube pipe. But I imagine it worked enough to sort out your motor. If you are not using .023" wire on the thin stuff, you should. Also you can clamp a copper drop bar on the inside while you are welding the cones. That will help. Good luck on all of this.

I've tried a jackshaft on a different build with a derailleur, that internal hub undoubtedly is a better solution. I'm thinking about trying to find some type of stand alone gearbox, or maybe even making one in the future.

What size piston is in that ?did u notice anything from making that pipe? Bro I just bought the 2nd gen phantom it's quick and fast but I wsnt to slam a 56 mm piston in it but trying to see if anyone had any ideas what ones just slap on
@getitrunningdunning5588
@getitrunningdunning5588 2 жыл бұрын
56 mm, yeah the pipe has helped a lot especially after tuning the carb and taking the power jet off. I think the phantom 85 has a 52 mm piston if im not mistaken, which should give some good power but the quality of those cylinders isn't the best from my experience. I think if you could find a way to slap on a true stihl cylinder it would be much more powerful, you could do a 52 mm stihl and it would be better even though it's the same displacement. It would require you to do some machining unfortunately and that's what's so great about the phantom 85 heads, they just pop right on there no work required. You could try porting it, opening it up a little but it would be hard with a single piece head. Good luck sir.
