a lot of guys do a lot of saying stuff to make the video entertaining or simply are not good speakers...annoying to watch those videos. When a channel goes gangbusters with comments often a Patreon channel has to be started whereas only Patreon commenters can get an answer to a question in comments

I call her the Methodical Queen of Diagnostics . She should apply for Master Tech status . To Married with Small Engines : By the way ..... the Bright orange sweater is awesome ....love orange and it also looks professional too . P.S. - Commentors can be the worst critics . Some other channels I watch of completely unrelated topics , in some cases , don't even address the commentors because of the content creators professional level / status . Each to their own , but all you need to know is that you are a top tech in our eyes ...... and that is coming from a triple licenced tech myself . ...... and thank you for elaborating on the immense effort you put into your day . Between client equipment obligations and producing videos that ultimately help us well beyond any basic level of assistance , you should know that there are MANY of us out here that Truly appreciate your professional tech insight . I just can't believe how many videos you are releasing , and all the customer complaint diag you've shown us .

good video, and you even remembered to check the plug gap, for others, it isn't always the case the xx plug is gapped correctly (for the engine you are putting it in), and it also could have been dropped in transport, affecting the gap.

Ez start is a god send for female home owner , retiree homeowner, older people or just people who want an easier to start chainsaw. I recommend EZ Start to all my neighbors and older friends and family. They all love the EZ Start. Just pull not jerk the starting rope. And at the end of the pull. The wound up spring would kick start the chainsaw , weed trimmer etc . Love them

I haven’t read the comments to see what kinds of, umm, stuff or some other word starting with the letter S, people are dropping in the comments but ignore them. Doing your best is all any of us can do, and you’re doing fine. It’s really easy to be a critic from the other side of a screen when you have nothing at stake and aren’t offering anything that could expose them to critical comments. I know this phrase is over-used, but it’s still true: when stuff like that is incoming, the critical parts are usually about them and what they’re willing to do, not about you and what you’re doing. Charlie Mike.

Your masterful secret to starting it was the three slow pulls BEFORE giving it a good rip. I even do that without the choke on, and it always works! Sparkplug flooding does occur when the user rips it 28 times in a row; good diagnosis.

The loose chain is an interesting comment - you are clearly correct and I do not disagree - BUT - I for one always loosen my chain just like that out of habit when I finish with the saw - I consider it good practice so that a chain that was retighted during a long day of steady firewood cutting will not contract against the bearing etc as it cools. Maybe I don't need to do that? What's your opinion? Great video - I appreciate the detail of your videos and your willingness to share the knowledge.

Cool. I like the 250-C's. I bought my father in law one a while back. Makes me wonder how sharp that chain was and the how high the rakers were.... bur it did sound good Glad to hear the 026 is getting rebuilt. Good call on her part. Some of those after market parts are solid! They definitely don't make'm like that anymore. That 024 should be a monster on small trees and limbs. Especially if its an older one. After running one all day, they are worth their weight in gold. (That is, if you could just use one saw all day, while in the business....) Look frwd to the 026 rebuild video

After watching quite a few of your videos in the last few days I have much respect for your skills and knowledge. Also I'm tired of fighting with my Echo, Poulan, McCullogh, and Homelite saws. They are all pretty old now and I'm older than them. The easy start looks like it would be very good for me and I am wondering how it works and how dependable it is? Don't really want to spend the money these days, but I have a son that will benefit from the investment if it would be dependable and long lasting.

The chain being loose while not in use is "a good thing" if done intentionally and if set properly before use. A properly set warm chain can get really tight when stored in cold weather, such not good for the bearings.

I always run my saws dry before storing them. But this one an MS 362-C shut down when it sensed water in old fuel. I had to replace the solenoid. Then it ran fine once more. How can folks like me run these $$$ saws with current fuel and not suffer damage? Add sea foam to each tank? Use the $49/gallon pre-mix? Please help. Thanks!

@marriedwithsmallengines
@marriedwithsmallengines 2 ай бұрын
I do use aftermarket parts for some applications, and there are certain things I would never use aftermarket (ie. chainsaw fuel filter, chainsaw fuel line). When it comes to lawn tractors and zero turns, nothing wrong with aftermarket for most things. 2 Stroke is different. Very sensitive, and not much room for failure in the fuel system.

I am a certified master mechanic in medium/heavy trucks. I worked many years on John Deere tractors. We used aftermarket rebuild kits for engine rebuilds unless prices for the kits were close (usa kits). So who has the answer, leave gas in while not using the chainsaw or leave gas in? I use non ethanol gas in the mixture.

These "C" models are SOOOO GAAAY!!! Why do these models even exist when regular saws already have Elastostart assistance?? And that mechanism instead of nuts and adjuster... Big no no!!

Elastostart donot make it easier to start . It just remove the jerkiness from the piston compression. The EZ start enable the user to just pull ( no jerk ) . The wound up spring actually kick and start the chainsaw. More than handful older chainsaw user that I recommend the EZ start are very happy . Their arthritic hand and shoulder wouldn’t allow them to jerk start a chainsaw . But the ez start is no problem for them.
