Bro camera quality and audio is the best it ever has been!! Don't change from now on. It's perfect Just a quick reminder, All stihl units mainly have T27 torx screws like on that 311 engine shroud cover, and make sure the decompression valve is pushed in for easier starting👍

Having a problem my choke linkage came out and always had a problem with it after dad worked on it.so hopefully a little linkage will fix her

great video but leaving the cover to the carburetor hanging by the wire got to me haha put it on something or take it off, apologize for being very particular. they do cost money, lots of money!

Great Video, very informative, I just bought a used 311 and Im learning what I can about it. Have you ever worked on the clone stihl saws? I bought a Holzfforma 111 which is the Clone for the Stihl 200t and it has been working great for about 2 months, I was cutting a few limbs and it shut off on me like it was out of fuel, but it wasn't and I cannot get it to start again, Im thinking its a fuel problem or maybe the spark plug but I'm just guessing, Where should I start with hunting down this issue

BTW it's good to see a video on the ms 311 because there is nothing out there o this saw. And it is different to all other saws that I have seen. The linkages are completely different to anything else. It is so hard to find anything on this particular saw.

Yeah something is wrong with carb getting to much fuel at full Rev mess with adjustment

You didn't show how the rubber gaskets go on the carburetor.

It may be something everyone but me knows but you skipped over exposing the trigger linkage by removing the handle back strap. HOW? DOUGout

pulled the carb on my 311 to clean it out. the compression pin keeps popping out with a single pull of the cord. Normal behavior is for the pin to pop when the engine fires. Trying to figure out why. anyone have an idea? thanks

You must have hooked up those kill wires off camera, because I just did the same saw today and I could have made a whole video on just getting those wires routed and hooked up

Why do you turn your ultrasonic cleaner off?

The coils burn up and if you dont pay top much attention the water will boil out even with lid on and burn up coils I fried one leaving it on I don't want to risk this one maybe it was a random accident but not taking risk these things cost money

@@RepairGang my cleaner stays at 60 all day and when it drops below 57, it turns on automatically and heats up to 60. Once it hits 60, the heat automatically turns off...

Nooo, the problem is not in the handle. The linkage is sitting in a cradle further up where it makes a right angle It jumps out of the cradle. That’s the problem

@@RepairGang my 372 xp is a way better saw.. someone before me messed with carb and bent the shutoff needle valve braket.. nothing was wrong with it other then that... it has way more RIP then any stihl i ever ran... I'm a husky fan for sure now
