Have just brought the ASA20. Bloody fantastic tool. Have used it now for three days working on wistaria, roses and apple trees. It will cut anything that will fit in the jaws. Each battery charge has done over 2500 cuts. And far from been overkill, I have found that the cuts are more controlled. A total of 7000+ cuts.

Awesome work! Im glad your getting on well with them. They certainly are a cracking tool for the money, so quick to use as well. If your getting 2500 cuts per charge that even better than STIHL state they will do 💪🏼

Thanks, glad you liked it. It was a very wet day, we were lucky we got anything filmed!

👏Not that there is anything wrong with previous videos, but this adds much more authenticity having arborist professionals operating the equipment along with their conclusions. I am curious if Hexa chain was used on the MS400? Stihl seems to be emphasizing that with this saw. Enjoyed the proper pronunciation of Stihl as well!👍

Hey thanks for letting us know 🙂it certainly makes a video when you can really put the tools to use for their intended job. We were running the 400.1 on standard RS chain. Not sure on the hexa chain being fitted as standard, there was talks of it as you say, but ive just been on the STIHL GB site and cannot see anything about the chain being listed. Haha lars has German parents so he knows how to say it correct compared to us west country boys! 😅😅

You know I want a new MS 400 but I also like the look of the pruners. Perhaps Kyle and Lars could put the new MS 400 up against a Husqvarna 562? I run Stihl and Husky but the 562 seems heavy by comparison. The saws I run the most are an MS 462 for big stuff and a Ported 550XP which is pretty light and runs 20'' bar pretty well.

Hi Patrick, it is certainly something we would like to do. If we can get hold of a 562 XP MKII we will make this happen! 🔥

”The others” 50cc that one with markII mark on it is heavy as hell. Bloody thing to the trashes, sorry for being so furious, I just hate that thing for being of very poor quality. Love those others brand and would definitely go for their thing in the 72cc class then the ms462 but the 50cc is a garbage mate. Pure garbage. 400.1 is the new tiny little saw then! Great! I just wish Stihl comes with saws that sound as awesome as the ms660 did! I mean I just need to buy a ms660 just because of that sound… desperately need that… 😁 But as a tiny saw I am pretty interrested in the 400.1 would be great to feel her while cutting dangerous trees down… thx guys have a great weekend
@MachineryNation4 күн бұрын
Thanks Peter, you will have to get the 400.1 for yourself to see what it can do. I can assure you, you wont be disappointed. For a mid range powerhouse it would be our #1 saw every time! Hope you have a good weekend too!

@ thx, I’ll try her. I actually work with the others 72cc but sometimes I even nedd a tiny saw, the 400.1 can be the thing then… have a ported 261, which is funny but still underpowered, 362c which is kind of fine but you can feel the old 361 in her, the hammer and I think it still is not enough power sometimes. The trouble is I even need a handy saw and a saw that holds a big load and pressure. We have a sh*t work that takes a lot from them if you know what I mean… take care guys!

Agreed. Wants and needs must never be confused. Get the 500i.
@peterjiran76524 күн бұрын
@@glennllewellyn7369 I don’t actually think it is gonna happen. The 572 is enough power and the 500i has got a serious drinking problem, which is an issue when being long away from the car. I am solving tiny saw trouble. Would be nice to have a slightly stronger one still nice one to work with then a 362c. That’s all I’m asking. The ms660 will be just for fun and special days. Take care!

id still use my ms 151 over the 6" cutter as it makes a cleaner cut due to speed of cut

Thanks for letting us know. I think the thing with the GTA40 is it shows it can compete against petrol power but without the noise, weight and fuss. And for many professional guys we see this model is going to be a hit. Dont get me wrong you can beat the sound of a petrol saw but the GTA40 is a little powerhouse for a cordless machine 🙂
