Hello. Can I have the oil sensor installed on my MSA300 because it didn't come with it?

Hello Carlos! Unlike the STIHL MSA 300 C-O, the STIHL MSA 300 does not have an oil sensor. STIHL does not recommend retrofitting an oil sensor. You maybe wrong my friend I have this saw mine don't have the oil sensor I think they just put it in for some country's but I wish mine with have it. If you cutting continue and you have plenty of batteries you may run out of oil unnoticed it had happen to me with 161T. Is a grate saw nothing like the 220C witch I also have, just the best battery even the AP500 witch I have don't last long. I think the battery technology fails behind the saw. I have the 3, 161T, 220C and the MSA300 in my personal opinion who ever have the MSA300 and 161T have no need at all for the 220C.

@@sirvozelo1 Well on the gas powered chainsaws i have never ran out of bar oil before gas I don't have any battery powered chainsaws so I have no experience with them but if there anything like the gas ones then they shouldn't run out of oil before gas. Then when you go to refuel or swap out the battery that is when you refill your bar oil. Simple! You don't need an oil sensor for that just more expensive crap to break and more costly repair bills to pay in the future.

@@miniatures1 In a way you are right but see what I find out, I have 3 Stihl battery power saws, what happen is that for example if I use the 161T and use the AP 300S battery this battery last much longer then if I use the AP200 and imagine if I use the AP500 even much more time i with have on the battery, all 3 saws and the trimmer 135 that I have work with same type of AP batteries but the time they last on each machine is different. However that is the convenience that the same battery fits in either machine then sure the more powerful the battery is the longer it last so the time that the oil last is different depending on the battery, if you use the AP200 for example you have 45 minutes time on the 161T but if you using the AP500 you may double the time on the battery so you may need refill the oil before the battery need to be recharged. I use to have gas power saws it feels little weird when i buy the first one but then at same time start feels more convenient and I end up sailing the gas power and buying the battery power ones and so far I am happy. I hope you understand what I am trying to say.
