The only competition I know about is the national poulan chainsaw starting competition. Of which there has been no winners as of yet. The name Stihl comes from poulan owners being asked if they've gotten their poulan started yet. Nope Stihl ain't started.

I've got a Poulan that I've had for 15 years and it always starts on first- second pull, have wore out several chains and only changed the plug and fuel lines once. Don't know what happened with yours but mine has made lots of firewood and just used it again today.

Believe it or not the saws run 10 - 12, 800 rpm. Its just that they're 250-400cc's and around 100hp

Help I have a beast that makes OAK seem soft as white pine help please this HICKORY Log is like steel...even tried 20 inch Husquavarna and 50 cc motor I need a somebody who can really cut ---you got some 80cc to 100cc monster you can have at it but be warned? you better have CARBIDE cutters cause this beast is hard as nails?

I was running this saw for about 2 hours at about a 30-50% duty cycle kzbin.infoUgkxfQm1wmg0ItKDLavxj1nXtQY9HP7EF504 and it did a great job. I used the lever for the built in sharpener to clear chip buildup out more than to actually sharpen the chain. It managed to cut some hardwood stumps much larger than it's size without bothering the neighbors with hours of 2 stroke noise.
