Most of what I've read shows 30, 60 and 10 degree angles for .375 Stihl RS chain. The boxes the chains came in show 30 degrees for a top plate angle. The 30 and 60 degree angles appear to match up on my Tecomec SJ grinder using a new chain.

The Stihl USG chart supplied with the gringer shows 40° top plate cutting angle that is 50° on a Oregon grinder it's more aggressive at 40° Top plate is 25° full chisel and 30° semi chisel. 30 60 10 will work fine with most chains. I was just quoting the USG settings at described by Stihl

Was hoping you might cover the “B” angles from the Stihl USG chart, i.e. -15/+15 for the standard RS chains. Do those adjustments make much of a difference compared to just leaving that angle at zero?

The 10° downward tilt is only used on chains that give ro much hook. Stihl chains and many other ls have reduced the tooth height over the last 30 years and no tilt is required. Would you like see a video on 10° downward tilt
