Saw one of your recent videos where you checked the sharpness of the top plate using the skin on your thumb, I tried the same and didn’t fine the top plate to be near as sharp as yours using the same grinder and grinder wheel, any recommendations

The best way to get a great finish is go slowly. So let's say you tap off and on 6 times to sharpen a tooth then last 2 taps go much slower, you should get a nicer finish and be sharper, also I use 80 grit wheels

Hi Fella, I’d hazard a guess that you’re the most complete account of info on these units. I bought a second hand slightly older unit than yours with the better configured power junction box. Mine came with no bits and pieces and a broken stone with jammed flanges. I’ve since put a gear puller on and sorted that and bought all the required Stihl wheels and dressing stone, locking pin and profile gauge. My question is, when dressing do you just keep the dressing stone to one side of the wheel to profile with the 2 radius’s. I have a copy of the chart in PDF colour if you would like too. Thanks Corey.

@KnoggCorey yes dress one side to get the radius 2.4 radius 4.8mm file And 2.6mm radius for 5.2mm file Dress one side only to get the correct radius
