Affûtage de chaîne de tronçonneuse à la lime plate

Voilà une vidéo qui peut aider les gens qui sont intéressé à essayer cette méthode d affûtage un peu particulière ( ce n'est absolument pas moi qui ai inventé cette méthode ) . Mon idée était de rassembler l'utilisation des 4 limes plattes différente qui existent dans une même vidéo, par contre il est bien clair qu il ne faut pas utiliser les 4 limes pour affûter, à chacun d'utiliser la lime qui lui convient le mieux ! Une seule lime suffit pour affûter !

You do realize these files are made to cut into the tooth like that.... and round files are not. Plain and simple. There is a right way and a wrong way when it comes to certain things especially when it's created by engineers. You trying to be different isn't necessarily a good thing my guy.

A file is made to remove material in one direction, this is not news to anyone. your argument about which direction of attack being a file specific engineered tool is almost retarded. since the top plate is doing the cutting it makes zero difference which way you stroke the underside of the plate. Excellent video/pictures. I would comment that you put a lot of importance on the top plate being sharp. The side plate is just as important to be sharp. When you changed the round filed tooth to a square filed tooth, you didn't file back enough to get the side plate sharp. It's the side plate that does most of the hard work of creating the chip.

You may have a point but I'm not sure. I would never brag and only that I'm healing a brute injury until mid-April that I can't get vids. of it up for proof yet but I could smoke about anything i found on utube in chainsaws. The productions of firewood I put out wasn't worth me hand sharpening. I made my chains at night and changed them if they dulled. I have what I think is Stihl's baddest all around saws. The old no electronic ignition's. I would have no need to give up round filing for what I could get them to do. sorry to rant but flat filing has not escaped my notice and they cut pretty darn good. But what I see here is way diff. then others do it and could be the bad arse way it got started. See 3:57 as the direction he is filing, the rounded edge on the flat file and then in start I noted the top cutter was super squared perfectly into the v where top hook meets cutting edge. Then look at 4:01 and see it. I think that is the purpose of flat filing that its sharper , faster and smoother on top cutting edge and not mean't to go deep. Sure my round hooks would still beat it but this I may try. With respect as I could be wrong and you got my brain thinking it out.

Super video je n’avais jamais vu ces techniques et on voit nettement la différence entre lime ronde et plate. Sa serait bien de faire une video pour tester les différents affûtage sur un billot pour voir laquelle et la mieux .

Je n'ai jamais vu affûter un chaîne de cette façon. Cela fait 40 ans que je travaille avec une tronçonneuse. Avec un tel affûtage, la machine doit tressauter ce qui est vraiment dangereux. J'aimerais bien voir une démonstration d'abattage avec cette chaîne.
