Lynn Thompson is leaving so much money on the table. IT’S TRULY INSANE !!!! Customization is the W.ORD!!! Take the Spartan as an example. I’d love this S35VN with a straight edge and matte black handle. He could provide fully serrated, half serrated-half straight edge. Handles of different colors: green, brown, dark blue, gray, black etc etc Let people buy the Spartan but with a bit of a personal touch. I lam curious about the serrated edge but sharpening it must be a nightmare.

I have nothing but love for her. She'll be missed when her time comes. My very first Pet was a Kitten my Neighbors gave me for Christmas, when I was five years old. I named her Jinglebells. She lived nineteen years. She grew up with our Hunting Dogs, Tiger and Tina, two German Short-Hairs. She was never Fixed. How is it made? Does it have Griv-Ex and Heat Treated Steel Liners, like the old models? If so, it won't weigh only 5 ounces... Any experience with long term sharpening that style of serrations? With Spyderco serrations, after about a dozen sharpenings they end up just looking like a wavy plain edge. These look like they wouldn't even hold up to that many sharpenings. Edit: just got to the part where you explain the method you use to sharpen serrations. Thats not how i do it. I just basically do the sharpmaker type motion while holding a triangle stone in hand.

How much more damage a serrated edge will cause over a straight edge, anyone?
@Kris_Stiletto Жыл бұрын
Serrations create a jagged wound that's much harder to tend to or repair. A sharp blade creates a nice clean cut that may not require stitches... Serrated Blades are ideal for slashing through fibrous materials or thick clothing or leather. So, in the Fall and Winter, times of the year, when People are wearing thicker clothing, that's when the Serrated Blades Shine, when it comes to Self-Defense Tools, in my opinion. :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)

@@Kris_Stiletto hello thanks for replying. To me a knife is primarily a weapon then a tool. If I carry a knife I want it to be first a good weapon that can be used as a tool RATHER than a knife that is a mediocre tool and a terrible weapon. I currently own the AK-47 and it’s a beautiful super tough knife. The AK-47 together with the Spartan where the 2 knives that caught my eye from Cold Steel. One more thing. What gadget to sharper knives do u recommend the most of budget is not an issue? And which one do u recommend to sharpen a serrated blade like the serrated Spartan? Thanks in advance.

Right on. I use the appropriate tools for the appropriate tasks, too. :-) The Folders I carry are primarily Self-Defense Tools. But, the one's I carry to Work, are used, often, for Utility Purposes, too. So, they're more multipurpose than the one's I carry when I am, out and about, not at Work. Those are only used for Self-Defense. And, tend to be my Folders that are light for their size, have good reach, due to their design, are fast in hand and have great 50/50 balance at the forward finger groove, have excellent grip options, have decent Steel, good build quality, be strong and durable and totally reliable, be "Sexy," and I must be able to deploy them quickly with one hand. That's why I tend to carry nothing but Tri-Ad Folders when I am out and about on one of my Scoots. I trust them the most, in a dire, life or death situation. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely luv all Knives. And, I carry and try out all different Brands and New Lock Types, and when it comes to Fidgeting, I like other Lock Types better. But, for Self-Defense, I prefer Tri-Ad Folders. :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)
