I enjoyed the subtlety of your transitions from light to shadow and the way you held back your darks

this was awesome. i was working on foreshortening bananas at different orientations and i couldn't get a good product when i tried to build off basic shapes. with other fruit and veg i never had much trouble deciding what shape to build on, but the bananas are doing this cylinder-with-round-rectangular-faces thing that ends looking "off" whether i started with rectangles or cylinders or a combination. starting with the block-in seems great and i'm gonna try some tests with that. thanks!

I'm having a basic problem since I have no clue how to do the first blocking and drawing the bananas. You seem to be doing cross lines, creating guide lines, and if you have a link that would teach this basic drawing skill, I'd be very grateful! Thank you!!
