The Sherman's house was for sale, so how did the murderer/s know that they wouldn't be interrupted by a realtor's showing that evening? How would they know there weren't going to be any showings? Also, the murders were discovered the next day, by a realtor showing the house...when was that appointment made? Wouldn't the agent confirm that morning to remind the clients of the showing and get no answer? These were important clients, I'd think you'd give them the courtesy of a reminder, just in case, unless they did the evening before? Also, who left that back door open?

Book was brilliant. I at first thought it was one of the kids (imagine being a kid of a massively wealthy man, but knowing you were born through a surrogate mother. You know who your dad is, but not your mom). Now I think it has something to do with all the people who built the Sherman residence and .... never got paid .... because Barry sued the shit out of for every little reason he could find. Stages not completed on time, shoddy workmanship .. etc. etc. So they ended up with this huge expensive house ... almost for free. Hope it gets solved. Still hope even after many years.
