Still Running

The West Mac's Monster is an epic trail running event in the Tjorita/West MacDonell National Park in Central Australia. Making use of the Larapinta Trail, offering competitors a variety of challenging distances from 25km, 65km, 128km and the entire length of 231km. Liz Woodgate surprised herself in 2021 becoming the outright winner and first placed woman...in 2022, she is back to challenge herself again.

I'm a novice runner age 39. It brings me so much joy to see older runners out there killing it! It helps me to realise I've not left it too late. I don't need to be elite but I want to be able to run long distances on trails and hills, and continue to challenge my body and mind.
