Excellent effort! If I were to offer any sort of suggestion, it would be that the woman’s transition could have taken a couple of more steps. Since she was jogging, there would be moments where her stride would end up having her fall over if the paralysis hit her as fast as shown. If it had hit her in a similar way as to someone running into deepening water, she could have made the transition and still maintained the necessary balance that the story required.

What did he mean he couldn't have done it without her?

Oh he was supposed to be joking that she helped him get out of almost being caught kidnapping her by remaining motionless while he hugged her, as if she were playing along.

Not being able to move was the least of her worries. She probably would develop multiple melanomas from staying in the sun all afternoon.

I think this is a metaphore. We don't see us really. Please forgive my bad english.

I am sure your English is better than I would be at communicating in your language. While my main intention with this short was to tell a story, I agree it is more compelling if you interpret it as a metaphor for the static nature of the status quo.

The idea is that she's worried after a long time that it'll happen to someone else, and thinks another person is stuck still like she was. They're not and she finds that reassuring, but the twist is that a person behind her actually was stuck still, and they can only move one part of her body like she could but it's a different part.

Little disappointed is was a kidnapper/murderer and not some biblical reckoning supernatural jazz. The ADR was awkward, honestly 20$ carefully spent on fiver could get you a better outcome but understand limitations and just having to do it yourself. The editing around the knife stab wasn't my favorite felt very awkward and the stunt itself was also a little awkward. Just getting slashed on the top of your hand or the palm of your hand is easier but not as dramatic as a stab, just got to be ready to get punched in the ribs by a retracting prop knife.
