Why those close to him, family, professional associates, even outside supporters can't recognize bizarre behavior when confronted with it, is shocking. This has less to do with politics than neuro psychiatry. With weak hangers on around him, incapable of recognizing pathology which is frightening in any senior executive or politician, we have to wait for some responsible Republicans to initiate actions. How serious an error does he have to make to pull the plug?

I could not agree with you more, after looking at some interviews of him in the 80s and the fact that he at least spoke in complete sentences, and was able to convey a coherent thought shows me that the has to be some serious degradation of his mental capacity. if they can hide it over the next four years you will see some announcement in the years after he leaves office just like we did with Reagan.
