First year hunting and first time watching your videos and I’m enjoying your videos, your videos have helped me out so much in the field and with hunting knowledge also what do you look for in a boot comfort or durability?
@averagejackarchery3 жыл бұрын
I look ultimately for comfort and flexibility. I spend a lot of time on my feet getting in and out of the mountains of PA public. So that's arch support, ankle feet, toe pressure, etc. Durability-wise I just don't want seams blowing out, maintain waterproof over several years, and no rubber cracking or splitting.

Interested but the Pro only goes up to size 9 on amazon. I'll look again next summer, I'm guessing it's not available due to being in season

Those and Tidewe are both budget friendly boots that will hold up great

It's a bit off topic but had a question about a stabilizer bar for hunting to help get tighter groups at 30-40 yards. What length do you think is too much and what length do you consider not adequate enough? Trophy Ridge makes a 8" 6oz rubber one for $20 and I'm thinking about giving it a try. Can't go wrong with the price plus can't see paying 3x or 4x that amount to just get something that will do the same job

Good looking boots. I’ve heard of them before. Im going to new new ones next year. Good video 👍
@wiscokid98903 жыл бұрын
My biggest complaint about any knee boot are the straps to tighten them. I prefer the brown boot you have. I ALWAYS break the stupid tightening straps. They don't hold up when doing deer drives in brush so thick the only way thru is crawling. Typically though they break when I'm trying to stay standing and push my way thru the crap. So it gets caught and rips them right off. Wish I hunt a place I didn't need knee boots but typically their aren't many deer on high ground around here. As far as public land is concerned
@timbow503 жыл бұрын
Well, you sure can pitch boot sales for sure lol. Bet HISEA would hire you in a heartbeat. Insulated boots are great- cold throbbing numb feet make for a miserable hunt.
@averagejackarchery3 жыл бұрын
Lol! If only I could get a certain bow company to like my sales pitch... I'd be in business.

I know it's off topic but, Do you see arrow straightness affecting your ability to tune broadheads and accuracy in general out to 40 yards?
@averagejackarchery3 жыл бұрын
I usually shoot .003-.001 straightness arrows, so I don't mess with super wobbly shafts to begin with

I checked their web site and I liked moc toe boots. Size chart is off, those are UK sizes not US. I wear US 13, foot length 11.8", and on their recomended size they have 12 for my foot length.

I heard you mention Arctic shield boot covers. I have been looking for something to keep my feet warmer. Do they really work? By the way I have followed your reviews for a while. I now own a lot of 3V gear for my hunting packs and also switched to all Huntworth clothing for this season. Keep up the great reviews. Thanks
@averagejackarchery3 жыл бұрын
They really work for me. Second year using them and I won't head into cold (anything below 30F) weather without them. If you want super warmth, toss a hot hands style warmer into the covers along with your foot and you're in absolute business.
@timgreer74403 жыл бұрын
I've been trying to order a pair of these boots since you did the first video, but you can only get them on Amazon and they only offer the boots up to size 9.

Do they run true to size??? Was just going to start looking for new boots, my 15 year old ones from cabelas are starting to crack, these seem solid
@averagejackarchery3 жыл бұрын
I've been very pleased with their performance with all 3 models over two years of use. My Pros epsecially right now are just getting abused and are holding up well. Mine are very true to size. Ordered size 12 and they are a little roomy for a thick wool sock, or a two-layer sock system. But definitely not super sloppy. Very normal boot feel with my rubber/neoprene boot purchases of the past.
@Flightofthearrowoutdoors3 жыл бұрын
@@averagejackarchery awesome l, just checked em out on Amazon, they’re only offering sizes 6-9 on a lot of em, I’ll check in later and see if there’s more, probably busy season

That's what I've heard a lot after posting here. When I shopped in September they had all sizes in all patterns. Imagine busy season and standard supply chain issues as usual in these times.

@averagejackarchery3 жыл бұрын
I stayed perfectly toasty in solid 25-35 temps for 3.5-5 hours. Zero complaints. Keep your feet dry by not over sweating with a good sock system and you're in business.
