I drove a 2019 RAV4 on a vacation a few years ago. It only had 1000 miles on it when we go it from the rental company. We drove it 2500 miles on that trip. I can't remember for sure but think it was an LE (non-hybrid). We averaged 33 mpg on the trip...much of that was mountain driving. It drove great, was comfortable, and was easy to park. The only things I remember not liking were the infotainment system, the lane-keep assistance (seemed to bounce between the center and outside lines), and the plastics in the cargo area seemed kind of cheap and was easily marked up by our luggage. I would definitely consider a hybrid version of this vehicle if I was in the market for an SUV.

I've been driving my cousin's RAV4 XSE hybrid since he traveled out of state. The seats and everything are very comfortable and functional. But honestly, just like every other car reviewer said, it has rattling noise that got me wonder how would the car be if someone were to keep it long-term (like 10+ years).
@IRLSuperb2 жыл бұрын
Just make sure that if you get a hybrid DO NOT cover the backseat with luggage! that’s where the high voltage battery is and it needs to be air cooled. There’s a vent underneath the backseat that you should not put luggage in front off, otherwise you’re gonna damage battery sooner than you should, because it would overheat all the time. There’s also a filter that you should replace out of the same exact vent every 5 to 10,000 miles or so. This is one of the biggest mistakes people who buy a Toyota hybrid should be aware off

Also at a higher tax bracket. The rav4 is a middle class vehicle geared towards millennials as they age into having families but it also has that mass appeal that older generations (my mom loves mine 😂) like it as well. It also has that adventure “Subaru”edge to it proven with it’s chiseled looks and off roading trims. The Venza is a more refined upper middle class cross over geared to suburb or city dwellers that (though still a Toyota) is more comparable to Lexus, audi, vulvo..

Still a solid choice for a compact SUV, and the hybrid makes more sense than ever given fuel prices and the fact Toyota has the hybrid thing down to a fine art. If anyone need an ownership voucher for these cars, We have a 19 and a 21. Both are best vehicles we ever had. My 19 is quieter and smoother than the Tesla Model S I had. The 21 is even better. It looks and feels and smells like a Lexus. These are the first vehicles we ever had that the stuff we complain about is nitpicking and won’t matter to anyone else! If mine blew up tomorrow I’d still brag about it. Screw that upcoming digital cluster screen and more expensive infotainment. Price current and upcoming of both to replace out of warranty and you’ll see why. Buy your RAV4 NOW! You’re not missing anything with the new I promise. Do NOT pay over MSRP with these dealerships gouging, there are some out there AT MSRP and thats the best deal you’ll find right now. Again do it now interest rates are skyrocketing and will not go down anytime soon. Has to be a defective mirror mirror. Both 2019 and 2021 RAV4’S are not like that. here's the thing . when you buy a Tesla, you're also buying a low volume car with very expensive parts. you'll often hear of horror stories of a small scratch or dent costing thousands if not tens of thousands of dollars to repair. not to mention repair taking months to complete. if you're the type of person who leases or buys a car every couple of years, I guess it doesn't apply to you. if you're planning to own a car for 10 years, if not more, then the RAV4 will probably be on the road long after the Tesla has been crushed into a soda can. and if you don't believe me, go online and search for 2012 and 2013 era model s for sale in the used market. there are none because they're either dumped or the few that are still around are garage kept as collector items.
