This thing is like the F-150: it’s been a dominant player in its segment for so long everything is just dialed in. I was shocked by how practical and satisfying this thing was, especially the drivetrain. Where is this attention to detail in ALL of Stellantis’s products?! Awesome work as always, man! 👍🏻

Happy New Chris. Still would not personally want to drive one, but this interior seems nice. Surprised that only Stellantis makes a PHEV van at this time, at least in the US.

Thanks, canonlybeme4life. And same to you! I had to triple check to make sure no one start d selling PHEVs that I may have missed. It wasn't strange when the Pacifica came out, but now it's kinda crazy that no one else has done it. Kudos to Chrysler!

I took road trip for ~ 2500 miles in a rental 'non-hybrid' and yeah it was a very nice experience I won't lie... mrs has been wanting a sienna but yeah been a bear to get one and also the prices due to high demand are off putting ... if she is insistent on a MV I would consider one of these after the last trip but the thing is massive and my small wife I see having issues learning where the ends are as she has ahem .. had problems in the past with our other station wagon and this one is even larger than that

Thanks for your very helpful review! I have a 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime plug in hybrid and really love it, however my concern I had with it prior to purchasing was that it was just too small for my family of 5. We decided to sacrifice space though but now it’s become a problem. The space the Pacifica Hybrid would provide would be ideal. Plus you get a TON more features on it that my SE trim Toyota. The Toyota while a solid engine, 302 Hp and stellar brand reputation is initially why I bought it, for the $45k price tag it’s left me wanting more and more suitable features for my kids and comfort on road trips. My greatest concern with Chrysler is the recalls on it and how it holds its value over time compared to Toyota. Kinda shocking that in 2023 there is still only 1 PHEV MV and only 1 hybrid- the Sienna (correct me if I’m wrong?) Coming from a PHEV I would not want to go to a standard hybrid, there wouldn’t be much point of that.

Same, im looking to buying this MV when I have more kids in the next few years, so I get to wait and see the long term reliability of it. Some PHEVs have excellent reliability, like my Chevy Volt.
@utubewillyman Жыл бұрын
Made the same mistake as you, only 5 years earlier. 2016 RAV4 Hybrid with a family of 5. It's great, but forget about taking one of the kids' friends along. I've been wishing that we got something larger. But like you, I don't want to trade Toyota's reliability. And forget about getting a Sienna now--there's a long waiting list.

Great review! The look of this van is great but I believe the sienna is more comfortable. I’ve driven both and the seats were better padded in the sienna.

Love it…course I have the last Chrysler Town & Country. Mine has 284 hrspwrs. I can fry tires at will. Not good if you forget an tromp down. 4x8 sheets of plywood go in, and I can lock them away from prying eyes! 😂 You are right. It’s an entirely boring car. But damn if it doesn’t do everything but go off road.

That's the magic of minivans, Torsee. They literally do almost everything, in their own boring, yet amazing way. 😅 Thanks for watching!

Plug in hybrid sucks. You have to be very consistent on driving to take advantage of the hybrid. It has 35 extra mph fully charge. It takes about 14 to 15 hours charge. Not my cup of tea!!!
@adamgonzalez20453 ай бұрын
The van sucks I got a rental and it only gets 38 miles on the battery it dies extremely fast
@AutoAcademics3 ай бұрын
@@adamgonzalez2045 That's because it is a plug-in hybrid, not a full electric vehicle. 38 electric-only miles is actually decent for a PHEV of this size.
@MGMGMGXX2 ай бұрын
Does it have energy recovery during driving?
@kennethwright56642 ай бұрын
@@MGMGMGXX Yes it does. Which is probably why he was getting 38 miles on the battery instead of the listed 32 miles of range. After that range is up, it basically becomes a standard hybrid vehicle, so you are still getting fantastic (for a minivan) mileage even after the battery runs out. The plug in feature really shines when you are using it for things like commuting to work and such. For longer drives it basically operates mostly like a standard hybrid. My situation for example: my daily commute is about 30 miles round trip so my day to day driving would be basically gas-free with weekend trips actually requiring me to use the hybrid ICE. So I would be getting about 640+ miles on a tank of Gas as opposed to the 315 miles I got with my Sienna.
