I compliment you on your informative & well produced video. I just bought a 2019 Toyota Sienna and hope to do a similar build. Concerning the problem with the magnet holding the drawer too tight, a simple fix is to put a self stick felt pad between the magnet & the contact plate. It makes it easier to pull them apart. Thanks for the tips and humorous comments. You’re a natural!

I’ve watched soooo many KZbin videos on van campers that my eyes are glazed over. Most are so boring but I sit through them hoping for a little tidbit. Yours was absolutely enjoyable. Well done! And I think I need that little sink. The TV part probably not but you made me laugh “two people can sleep comfortably if they really like each other”. 😂 I really liked that it wasn’t a permanent build. Now I just have to look for three bodies to put in the back. LOL

I was thinking the same thing. Just the pull down part would be split. Such a neat idea to begin with and so much easier for setup than a lot of the other convertible options out there. Now that I am thinking about it even more, I would like to make a fold down in both the front and the back so you could have a bench seat looking out the tailgate, and I would make both the front and the back split so one or two people could sit or sleep without disturbing the other. (aaaaand...just blew my mind that the factory installed seat behind the driver's seat still works with this setup so you could have a third traveler!!!) So excited about this!!! One last idea...what if there was a way to make the backrest part swiveling and lockable to use the backrest as a table or a backrest? Thanks for all the idea inspiration! - Alis

I would love to remove the center console. I'd actually rather build my own. But removing that thing looks like a bit of a hassle. However, I don't have to go outside to access the back. I just step over the console. That's why I leave that little hall way open.

Well, I would say if we're talking about minivan campers, then a storage capacity of one body would be typical. Unless you use Canadian bodies. They have the metric system so it would be more like 1.609 bodies.

I love how Chrysler finally made a one button process to move the driver's seat forward and the backrest up to allow access to the StowNGo area below! I had an older style Grand Caravan where I had to hold the power seat button forward then hold the recline button also all to be able to access the Stow area! Cool set up!

15:44--- I am just a girl so I went to dollar tree and bought black poster board. I used black duct tape to piece sections leaving a space to fold them. I seamed the tape. The covers are so tight, no light gets through in Florida sun. From the outside it looks like limo tint. To have the ability to look out without taking the cover completely down I cut a u-shaped in them so I could fold it back and peek out then push it back into place and because it was still attached on one side it worked out like a little hatch. It takes three black poster boards to cover the front windshield but it's so dark in the van you can't see your own hand. That's important if you don't want people to see you sleeping in your van. I'm going to need that Pepsi!

Well, I must be just a girl too because Dollar Tree poster board is exactly how I did it for 3 years in my previous car. I still have scraps in the garage! As far as the Pepsi goes, come on over and help yourself. There's plenty!😁

Awesome and funny video. I always thought these vans would be really good for using as a camper van. I travel to kids sports with mine a lot and I go inside and chill between games and get away from the madness. I have all my windows tinted on my 2018 Touring L so people can't see inside and it makes it more comfortable. Awesome job on the build!
