I have both the Pro 3 and the 4 and I'm one of the rare ones that likes the 4 better. I have large flat feet and the shoes accomodate them really well. Agree with everything you said. Great review!

I have both as well. The 4s work really well at long distance when your legs are tired. The roll and turnover is so smooth and easy. I get more bounce in the 3s but if you are tired it's not going to help you if you can't load the plate.

I'm a huge fan of the Boston shoe companies that get me to the Boston Marathon each year (NB, Puma-US, Reebok, Saucony, Topo). The Endorphin line works well for me.

I have these. The speed roll tech makes strides feel very natural. It’s not the propulsive feel, it’s a natural feeling fast shoe. I love them because I don’t feel like I have to run a certain way to feel quick in them.

This year was the first time I got Saucony's and I fell in love both with the Speed 4 and Pro 4. I've owned VF 3's & 4's and I love them but I always feel like I pushes me to go fast which it is what it was for but there are days when I can't keep the pace and have to slow it down. With the Pro 4 the shoe doesn't push me to go faster more like when you want to go fast you can go fast, if you need to slow it down go ahead you can slow it down. It comes very close to the VF with the cushioning and more stability especially when you have to slow it down. Like you I get what you say when it doesn't feel aggressive when I run all the time but I like that I can be aggressive with this shoe during a run when I start to feel aggressive. I like to describe this shoe as the every man's VF. Big plus is the durability of the midsole and lower price point. About the get me a 2nd pair 🤙

Honest review. Although I like Endorphin Pro 3 more. For beginners yes Pro 4 will be better as it has more stability

It’s apparently a very much loved shoe for marathon and other long distances. Unfortunately I never ran in it.

Nailed your review. Comfy cruiser that is more like a supertrainer. V3 was more aggressive and gelt more like a race day shoe. Bit disappointed with the 4 so far

Which shoe do you prefer for long runs and marathon racer for someone who is similar in size to you between the Saucony Pro 4, Adidas Prime Strung x2, Hoka Cielo x1, Hoka Skyward x? Thanks!

So… the number 1 factor for me will be the pace you’re doing on your long run. If it’s an easy pace I’d say none of these because of the price. You only need something well cushioned. For pace though the I’d consider the ones you’ve listed and my pick would be the Cielo X1 for now

That was a an amazing experience and I’m thankful Ben and Cole chose to support me. In my humble opinion, you don’t need anything fancy and I use the Nike Invincible 3 or gel nimbus 25. I only run in the supershoes as part of the reviews.

Hi man this is an informative video and it’s now made me question a shoe choice I’m booked in for the great south run. I’m looking for a new shoe to run it in. Originally I was thinking of getting the speed 4 for it, but the pro 4 now seems a contender as is a good entry in to carbon shoes. I’m 90kg and planning to run 8:30mile pace Last year I ran it in triumph 19s for 1h37m so not speedy What do you think? Speed or pro? , and do the carbon shoes tire out your legs quicker

You’re not doing yourself justice, that’s a very quick time! You should be proud of 1:37! I’d definitely go with the Pro 4 for sure! I personally love the Prime X2 Strung or Cielo X1 for that distance.

I just had the Triumph 21 at home to test but it was not what I expected, so I returned it. It was just a lifeless shoe under foot. Maybe I need to check out one of these instead!

This will need a video for sure after I run my first marathon and experience what it’s like otherwise it will just be speculation. For now though I can only vouch for half marathon and I’d say I’ve loved the Prime X2 Strung and Cielo X1
